Western Coal Corp. Grants Stock Options 
 
Vancouver, B.C. August 12, 2010 - Western Coal Corp. (TSX: WTN and WTN.WT and 
AIM: WTN) ("Company" or "Western") announces that on August 5, 2010 it granted 
incentive stock options and deferred share units as detailed below. Each stock 
option has an exercise price of C$4.16. The options are exercisable for a period 
of five years from the grant date. The stock options vest as to half upon grant 
and half on August 5, 2011 and the deferred share units vest quarterly in equal 
amounts over the next twelve months.
