VDM Specialists to Trade India's First Business Process Outsourcing Firm Listed on the NYSE

WNS Holdings debuts with $224 million IPO 


NEW YORK, July 26  /PRNewswire/ -- VDM Specialists, LLC today announced that it began the trading of WNS Holdings (NYSE:WNS), a leading Indian business process outsourcing (BPO) firm, on the New York Stock Exchange.  The IPO comprised 11,202,708 million American Depositary Shares (ADS) at $20, raising approximately $224 million.

WNS Holdings, which began operations as an in-house unit of British Airways in 1996, is today one of the top two Indian offshore BPOs in terms of revenue, according to the National Association of Software and Service Companies.  The Company has more than 10,400 employees who provide a range of non-industry specific business services including finance and accounting, human resources, supply chain management and research and analytics.  While other NYSE-listed Indian technology firms also operate BPO units, WNS is the first firm solely focused on BPO services to list on the exchange.

Out of the 11,202,708 million ADS sold in the IPO, WNS issued 4,473,684 million new shares for the offering, raising $89.47 million for WNS Holdings.  In addition, 6,729,024 million ordinary shares were sold by major shareholders, including Warburg Pincus and British Airways.  The offering reduced the largest shareholder Warburg Pincus's stake in the company from 64.7 percent to 53.6 percent.
