                        Board Changes and Trading Update
                                        

BOARD CHANGES

Further to the announcement by Wellington Holdings plc, the manufacturer and
distributior of specialist polymer seals for engineering and industrial
applications worldwide of 22 September 2004, Mr David Jones is appointed Chief
Executive Officer.

Chris Wilkins, the previous CEO will continue as a board member and move into a
more non-executive role during the next few months. He has agreed to carry out
specific executive tasks concerned with the expansion of our international
business.

Mr Jones (53), has a (BSc) (in Physics and Materials Science). He joined
Wellington last year from the Morgan Crucible Company plc ceramincs division,
where he held a number of senior positions.


TRADING UPATE

Wellington Holdings plc is also pleased to announce that the 2004 financial year
has closed on a buoyant note and it is expected that Group results for the year
ended 31 December 2004 will be at the upper end of market estimates. The Board
expects to announce the preliminary results of the Company for the year ended 31
December 2004 on 30 March 2005.

Further, 2005 has started equally well and we expect at this stage to achieve
another year of growth.


HAMPTON SITE

Demolition of the vacated half of the old manufacturing plant at Hampton is well
under way and construction of the new custom-built facility will commence in the
near future.

We expect, therefore, to begin relocation of some of the present facilities into
a new custom-built factory on the present Hampton site in the second half of
2005.
