14th June

In order to ensure that MRI raised R40 million in additional equity to fund the cash element of the consideration payable to Watermark and provide growth capital for WUC, following the withdrawal of a third party investor the Company has entered into an interest bearing loan agreement with Trinity Asset Management (Proprietary) Limited ("TAM") to the value of R20 million. TAM will seek to place the MRI shares with investors and repay the loan and pending repayment of the loan the Company will benefit from a charge over approximately 105 million MRI shares. The Company has the option to acquire these shares at R0.19 and if the loan is not repaid by 12 September 2012 at R0.20 per share, the Company can elect to sell the shares at the market price. The Company is indemnified against any loss (the difference between R0.20 per share and the market related price) by TAM. The Board's expectation is, therefore, that the Company will receive consideration of approximately £4.5 million in aggregate of which approximately £2.69 million will be in shares in MRI (at a value of R0.19 per share), approximately £0.26 million in cash, on issue of the shares and approximately £1.55m in cash before 12 September 2012. A further £0.32m will be paid on issue of the shares in respect of the investment in and funds advanced to Octavovox (Pty) Ltd and Prodiflex (Pty) Limited.

WET have no revenue stream, so effectively the 1.8M is a falling balance.

moreforus - and WET are saving a big chunk of the circa £1m a year they were spending on the AMD project. And on the downside......

its actually better than that...they used 1.5 mill of the cash to lend to a buyer of MRI shares with an option to buy at 0.19p....i'll read back later today (have a read through the last few rns it's there somewhere)....however the one thing they do not lack is cash... they are not going to do a stock split or a placing to pay the cleaner - utterly ridiculous statement...

at 0.12p mid the company is trading BELOW cash and MRI is now 0.25-0.28 ie higher than where WET own at 0.19p ....40% of the company that is accredited with zero value in the current market cap

another "silly" on aim

moreforus - thanks, I thought that was the case. So Cash equal to MC, rising investment in MRI with huge potential, and moving into coal briquette production to tackle yet another large environmental problem. Not bad for a 'cash shell' I would have thought.

WET is a cash shell with no revenue stream. How are they going to cover salary's / working capital? Placings appear to be the only way.

no chance of anymore shares being issued at this price, it would take billions to cover any costs of note

Good to see this share displaying the behavior we have all become used to over the past 18mths ie: going down. I had been getting a wee bit concerned about the consistency of the price recently but now that we have started to descend again I can relax knowing that everything is back to normal.

supreme one there are a lot of stocks out there where the price has little or no correlation either to the current or future value or performance of the company... as it's the aim market suffering from a buyers strike that has little to do with individual companies value or performance then its the aim market that needs to change ....they might be roadshowing the company but unless there is substantive news prior to Decembers predicted coal project go live we could be treading water for a few months...so given this is trading at cash probably a good time to buy but with a time horizon extending into next year...imho

I was getting very downhearted with the company and thought I'd take the bull by the horns and speak to the directors to give them a piece of my mind about their shameful performance. I must admit Jaco in particular gave a great account of themselves and my faith was somewhat restored. There are a couple of things I haven't been at liberty to divulge but i can openly admit that i have done a bit of a 180 on this now that I know what is really going on and just how fruitful next year is set to be.

Quite possibly, all I am doing is quoting Jaco verbatim. What I do know from talking to the major players is that there is a lot a genuine excitement about the future. I have considerably increased my holding since speaking to them in detail last week ( even though most of the buys show up as sells ! )

certainly possible, but would expect that sort of change to be communicated to share holders.

John - weren't those explicit statements made when WET owned WUC? Perhaps the transfer of WUC ownership to MRI has been accompanied by a new viewpoint from the MRI board that they should be involved in the whole thing.
