Company Announcement to the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority No. 36-2013, 16 December 2013.

It has been reported in the Oman media that FLSmidth has signed a contract with Oman Cement Company (SAOG) for supply of equipment and machinery for a cement plant in Oman.

FLSmidth confirms that this information is correct. If and when down payment is received and the contract becomes binding, we shall immediately inform the market.

FLSmidth is continuously negotiating many potential contracts on the global market. To be considered binding, such contracts require not only signing but also exchange of down payment and guarantees, etc.

Well! I have just done a fair bit more research on this company and I am just staggered at the amount of activity going on!!

How can a company with this kind of potential only have a market cap of about £9m. when they paid $30m for the 50.5% stake in just one of their subsideries (Chinese subsidery SSNE).

The potential is mind boggling for any new investor looking at this company as trying to bring all the information together is not easy, especially understanding the type and status of projects aa well as trying to find the revenue models.

Researching this in real detail will take a long time but I am more than happy to have taken up our rights issue & purchased more in the market.

Strange conversation this one. Just been on my mail catching up on gossip in the engineering world. An engineer i have worked with in the past, mentioned that a commissioning engineer he had worked with in the past, had got a job in South Africa. This engineer had been working on a Kalina Cycle project which had come to an end. Didn't mention i was in WAS at all, and this was just passing general chit-chat. Could it be the case, that one of the plants has been signed off, and WAS are not releasing the news yet? Dont take this as conformation of a plant up-and running, but it seemed to be too coincidental.
