  VOCALIS APPOINTS GRAEME W. SMITH AS DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC
                          MARKETING

Vocalis,  the voice technology and call processing specialist,
today  announces that it has appointed Graeme W. Smith as  its
Director  of  Strategic  Marketing.   Graeme  will  drive  the
company's  global  strategic development  by  identifying  new
markets  and  new  applications  for  Vocalis  technology  and
products.   His primary objective is to build strategic  sales
and  technology licensing partnerships with key players in the
telecommunications and cellular industries.  He will be  based
on the east-coast of the US, in Boston MA.

Graeme has over 12 years of product management, marketing  and
development  experience.   He  joins  Vocalis  from   Fidelity
Investments,  one  of the world's largest  financial  services
companies,  where he was director of product  line  management
for  voice systems integration.  Prior to this he spent  eight
years  at  BBN  Inc. working on the launch and development  of
BBN's HARK family of speech recognition products.

Jeremy  Peckham, chief executive officer of Vocalis, comments,
