            Appointment of Finance Director and Company Secretary             


Vocalis Group plc, the speech technologies group, announces today the
appointment of Paul Wright as Finance Director and Company Secretary,
effective 1st February 2000.
 
Paul Wright joins from CWB System services Plc, a company providing IT
consultancy, software solutions and managed services to the Financial services
market, where he was Chief Financial Officer. Wright has worldwide experience
of public limited companies in the high technology sector.

Charles Halle, Chief Executive of Vocalis, comments "I am delighted to welcome
