   CERTIFICATION WITH ERICSSON OPENS HUGE MARKET TO VOCALIS
                               
                               
Vocalis,  the voice technology and call processing specialist,
today   announces  that  its  SPEECHtelr  platform  and  voice
activated  dialling  service has been  certified  by  Ericsson
Mobile  Radio  Systems  to fully work with  Ericsson  GSM  900
network, a world leader in mobile telephony.

Voice  activated  dialling enables people  to  dial  a  number
simply by saying the name of the person with whom they wish to
speak.   This replaces the need to key in numbers,  or  scroll
through   stored  address  books,  which  has  been   recently
acknowledged  to be a potential safety risk for motorists  who
regularly use mobile phones while driving.

Jeremy  Peckham, chief executive officer of Vocalis, comments:
"This certification opens up a huge market for Vocalis, and is
yet  a  further  endorsement by Ericsson  of  our  ability  to
provide innovative voice activated telephony solutions.   With
increasing   demand   for  new  value  added   services   that
differentiate  networks, together with increasing  legislation
on  the use of car phones, we believe voice activated dialling
will  become  a  standard  operator  service.   Together  with
Ericsson,  we  are  now  at  the forefront  of  this  evolving
market."

AB  adds  "The Ericsson GSM 900 network is already in  use  in
over   100  networks  throughout  the  world.   By  certifying
Vocalis, Ericsson is now in a position to offer these a  fully
approved  voice  activated dialling service  they  can  easily
implement in their networks.  We project the European and  Far
Eastern GSM markets alone for voice activated dialling  to  be
worth in excess of #300m by the year 2002."
