VALUE REALISATION TRUST PLC

Application has been made for 24,943,594 ordinary shares of 10p each in Value
Realisation Trust plc ("VRT") to be admitted to the Official List of the London
Stock Exchange.  The ordinary shares arise from conversion of 1.4 per cent
convertible unsecured loan stock 2006 ("CULS").  The ordinary shares rank in
full for all dividends and other distributions declared, made or paid after 31st
August 1999 in respect of the current financial year and rank pari passu in all
respects with the ordinary shares in issue on 31st August 1999.

Following the conversion, #5,340,360 CULS will remain outstanding and there will
be 124,906,356 ordinary shares of 10p each in issue.
