Statement re Acquisition Talks

17 September 2004 - The Directors of Vert-Eco Group plc (ticker symbol: VRT)
announce that they have been evaluating a number of candidate companies with a
view to acquisition. Vert-Eco is now producing a short list of preferred
candidate companies.

The Directors believe that they will be able to have serious discussions with
one or two candidate companies by the month end and aim to complete a
transaction within the next two months. The Directors would point out that at
this time, no heads of terms or sale and purchase terms have been entered into
with any acquisition candidates.

Vert-Eco Group plc is a newly established company, created to acquire businesses
within the environmental sector.  The company will initially concentrate on two
key areas: environmental protection, which includes the collection, treatment,
prevention and elimination of pollutants, and the development and operation of
renewable or alternative energy sources.
