VAN DIEMAN MINES PLC (the "Company")
Appointment of Administrators for Subsidiary
Further to the Company's announcement of 26 February 2009 the board of the
Company's wholly owned Australian operating subsidiary, Van Dieman Mines Pty Ltd
("VDM PL") has appointed Paul Cook and Johnathan Murrell of Paul Cook &
Associates to be the joint and several administrators of VDM PL with effect from
27 February 2009.
