Board Appointment

Charles Jillings has been appointed with immediate effect as an Executive
Director of Utilico Investment Trust plc ("Utilico"). Charles had been an
alternate director to Duncan Saville both to Utilico and, prior to that, to The
Special Utilities Investment Trust PLC ("SUIT"). Charles, working in conjunction
with Duncan, has been responsible for the day-to-day investments of Utilico
since its inception in August 2003, and previously for SUIT's Continuation and S
Class portfolios from September 2001 until that company's reconstruction and
liquidation in August 2003. This appointment recognises the increasing role
played by Charles in Utilico.

Charles has entered into a service agreement dated 25 February 2004. His
remuneration as an Executive Director of #15,000 per annum will be deducted from
the investment advisory fee payable to Ingot Capital Management Pty Limited.

In accordance with Rules 16.4 and 16.5 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing
Authority, outlined below are directorships held by Charles in any publicly
quoted company at any time during the previous five years:
