Great uplift on confirmation of deal, we almost receive NAV, not many property companies can say that on takeover. Also save on internalisation cost for mgt, on reflection I think SHED had run its course, can't complain almost 50% uplift in a year. LMP a well run property company, have owned in the past. Have to decide where to invest cash part, looking to add LAND & increase my holding in SREI, what are others reinvesting into?.

Shed showing "interesting" strength today. Wonder if there are takeover rumours spreading?

sold SHED late Friday on the news alongside WHR; decided to lock in a decent return in 3 months given I averaged in around 1.06 after the director buys. I like the REIT but choosing to recycle capital to other REITS, prefs and other markets as it no longer screens cheap to me vs. my benchmark of LMP (which got hit this week). I don't put as much weight on NAV as dividend yields, cover and leverage ratios. My view of the sector remains - subscale REITS will trade long term at large discounts until interest rates materially move lower and consolidation or wind up is needed. WHR rebuffing 110.5p which I thought was a good offer and the move by SHED on Friday seems set to resist a takeover or merger. I am flummoxed the largest shareholders of WHR agreed to not take the money and run. Continue to hold ASLI (largest holding), CLS Holdings (high income / high risk play) and LMP.

Disappointing. If someone is considering a takeover, best do it now before this goes ahead. Who knows what terms they will put in the internal managers' contracts.
Isn’t it a max of £12.4 = > 11.3% return - but that’s only if the sp performs well Without that then it’s c22% return It’s pretty good The downside is - means the reit is less likely to get taken over - but that’s a mixed downside - I topped up for the takeover but will be happy enough to hold if they preform well

Started to build a position here - seems undervalued with a decent dividend yield and a potential takeover target ? Then again there are so many 'bargain' stocks around on this unloved UK market right now ...
