08/6/2006 17:17 | At last - a director buys some shares in TPA - Richard Atkins, the new Chairman has bought 1m @ 4.125p = £41k which is more or less one year's pay which is about the going rate. I'm amazed, hoever, that Richard Hodgson (FD) who has been there about a year hasn't yet got his cheque book out - that would really a sign of confidence by ALL the board. | threewheels
08/6/2006 16:27 | As I predicted some months ago - bad results and a poor future outlook. Surprised the shares are as high as they are. Market cap. is still far too high. In brief; they are loss making, £15.7m net debt and a negative balance sheet - of up to £13m if you write off goodwill - means the company will never pay a dividend and be unable to invest in its existing businesses. Prices paid to buy the businnes they bought were excessive and add on the cost of 20% to raise the money to buy the businesses and you have a recipe for failure. A rescue rights issue at 1p or less within the next 9 months is my next prediction. Otherwise businesses will be sold for what they can get for them and banks suffer the net loss, in this latter senerio shareholders get nothing. | long and short
