30/1/2006 18:37 | I don't know about online trading but you can trade in Oz shares in London for the Oz mkt. I bought 20k this AM quite easily. Quote was competitive at 36-38 I seem to recall. | langland
30/1/2006 18:12 | plainz, as soon as I can work out how to do it it will be done. In the meantime you can check the price through asx link above. It closed at 85c last night. | simonbroughton
30/1/2006 16:33 | simon could update the graphs in the header. Don't mind what thread people use just wanted to be able to check share price easily. Does anyone know an online dealer which can use to trade these? | plainz

29/1/2006 16:20 | Thanks banney TDW offline for improvements at the mo. I recall some time ago that I could not trade international stocks on TDW? If thats the case how can I go about buying shares pre aim float With regards Isa can I use my trading account to fund that Isa/share purchase? Must admit there are so many good opps in this sector at the moment its becoming very difficult to choose between them. EDIT I presume the asx will compare to the ups/downs of the aim and vice versa so I may buy a few more through numis if I can before the float or at worst on floatation to aim but want to get in via asx if poss. n2 | new2stks
29/1/2006 16:09 | NEW2STKS You can buy Australian stocks through TDW to put in an Isa but only by telephone - You won't be able to sell the shares bought on Oz exchange on AIM | banney
29/1/2006 13:01 | simon How can I buy some shares prior to aim listing I have a TDW account but not sure if I can buy stocks unless listed on aim as well as aux. If I am able to buy on aux can I then sell the on aim for example Or should I contact Numis to buy pre listing? n2 | new2stks
29/1/2006 10:54 | If anyone has any comments on my thoughts in the header, i.e. mistakes omissions let me know. I haven't bought yet and would appreciate hearing reasons to be cautious. | plainz
29/1/2006 10:52 | HABAYYUT fair enough have removed it, was just my opinion. I'm trying to find brokers to allow to buy before move to aim. Anyone bought these yet? Couldn't with fastrade. | plainz
28/1/2006 13:56 | Maby through their Broker Numis securities??? 02077761493 | dally4
28/1/2006 11:22 | honeyjim, I use Gerrard. My guess for a price flotation on AIM would be as good as yours! I don't think they will have any trouble attracting subscribers for the float in view of the massive size of the resource and that they have signed a 50/50 JV farm in deal with Atofagasta who will fund the project. As regards my hopes for the next12-24 months. The current resource estimate stands at 12.3 million tons of contained copper and 20.9 million ozs of gold. TYC will get 37.5% of that assuming that they fight off the hostile bid attempt from skafell and the deal with Antofagasta comes to fruition which I think it will. I won't put a figure on it but I think there is huge upside potential here when you consider that the current market cap is only about £44m | simonbroughton
28/1/2006 10:41 | Sim which broker do you use? what are your expectations for a price flotation on AIM? hopes for 12/24 months? Any idea what the likelihood of subscription will be for AIM ta | honeyjim
27/1/2006 22:32 | HABAYYUT, An Investment Savings Account can be opened with any broker. I would recommend a self select ISA which means that you make all the investment decisions. You are allowed to put in up to £7,000 per annum and any future profits you make are tax free. IMHO it is the best way to establish wealth but you can't offset any losses. Opening an ISA can be done online with squaregain for example. that would be cheaper than, say, my broker but I don't know whether an online broker would cover global trading. You would have to speak over the phone and sort out what you want but you should do what you want to do and not what they say would be best for you because that, in reality, is what's best for them! In answer to your second question. Antofagasta has already signed a 50/50 JV agreement with TYC and that includes the buying out of the BHP Billiton claw back agreement, funded by "Fags" Please go through the website, it's all there. Also you can set up a watchlist on ASX. Both links are above. | simonbroughton
27/1/2006 20:44 | Simon if Antofagasta are looking for a JV? where does the alliance with bhp billiton sit? as bhp have a clawback right for 5 years of 70%, tethyan only get 30%. | habayyut
27/1/2006 20:43 | Simon never had an isa, always bought via brokers. how do i go about buying via isa or any other way. sorry to be nuisance. | habayyut
27/1/2006 20:39 | HABAYUT, they are already listed on the Australian stock exchange. As such I could have them in my ISA so I sold part of another holding in my ISA to do it. Regards Simon | simonbroughton
27/1/2006 20:25 | Simon how can you buy now before aim listing? tia | habayyut
27/1/2006 20:24 | hi Simon how can you buy before move to aim? | habayyut
27/1/2006 19:16 | Official thread?.........lol. | simonbroughton
27/1/2006 19:14 | plainz, your "graphs and more info" are all from the website (link above). | simonbroughton
27/1/2006 19:10 | Durgoid & plainz, I bought mine last night @82cents within my ISA via my broker Gerrard. Closed @84cents. | simonbroughton
27/1/2006 18:30 | Plainz i think you mislead people by saying "10-20% downside and 500 - 1000% upside" let people make their own mind up after evaluating everything. | habayyut
27/1/2006 17:23 | Very interesting, I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for starting the thread. | hutchoman |
