16/5/2002 14:52 | If we managed to stop all the foriegners what we would have is an important part of the Bristish culture missing I mean really The viking invaded us the normans conquered us. The Irish Built our railways. The polish fought with us the indians supplied a huge number of soldiers in both world wars. The Jews built Business which added wealth to the country tesco being a prime example. The Asians gave us Britains favourite dish, as well as start thier own business. So our diversity and strengths as always been blendid throughout our history regards red5 | red5

25/4/2002 14:34 | Lucky:About job's drying up that has nothing to do with how many foreigners there are etc.. most the work in this country is not being sent abroad simply because it is cheaper MS themselves use's india for coding it's software as labour is cheaper. Not 100% sure but ramicade a medication for Crohns and UC developed here in UK but i am sure it was brought by a US pharma giant and now they sell it back to UK at £2,000 a shot the Gov. here just does not want to invest in its own future oh look we can get this cheaper abroad lets close a city down!. There are enough jobs in this country to support everyone if less work was sent outside.Alot of mobile phone software is also developed in Europe and then sold to UK why there is no support for UK firms in that field or people are un aware of it.found a link on business link roughly states if you plan to start up a business you can get a start up loan as well as the standard job seeker allowance for 6 months now how many people can honestly say they new about that? | kamlani
24/4/2002 16:56 | Opth :At the risk of sounding like Enock Powell ,there could well be a blood bath ,but your guess as to the outcome of that senario is as good as mine,I can only hope it dosen't happen in my time . | luckyed
23/4/2002 17:12 | I think you may be right their, Lucky. Is that outcome be better in the long run, do you think? As a tool to encourage change for the better, I mean. | opthalmist
23/4/2002 16:57 | As long as there is plenty of work, asylum s/s etc will be tolerated ,but if it dries up ,(that is my biggest fear) ,then you will unfortunatly see riots the like you have never seen before ,the brits won't bother sorting the wheat from the chaff because they are seething inside ,but there will be a breaking point ,they have tolerated libs/political correct/left wingers /do gooders/and the invasion of foreigners ,the quiter they are now the bigger the explosion,in my humble opinion. | luckyed

22/4/2002 17:03 | Kam ,once again I find myself having to enlighten you,how sad that you should feel it necessary to introduce the colour of a mans skin ,I certainly didn't,as I just don't have any colour predudices,my post is a statement not an attack on any individual ,including you .to help you understand a little better where I'm coming from I'll tell you a story ,2 years ago I had a death threatening health problem that resulted in my needing an emergency operation, the man I have to thank for perfoming that operation with great skill was an Indian surgeon that we called Mr Nat (we couldn't pronounce his very long name) my problem required a further operation to put my bowel back to normal ,Mr Nat allthough due to return home to India stayed on to do my operation at my request, NO ONE SAYS ANYTHING ABOUT INDIANS IN MY PRESENTS OR MY WIFES . hope that clears your mind , one of my service buddies was also an Indian (Barry),you should have heard him sing Hoagy Carmichals "Hong kong blues". Back to the main theme FREE SPEACH" ,because you are Briish asian you can discuss racial matters but if an English/brit tries it they will be branded with several phobic race names ,ASK THEM ,don't take my word for it . | luckyed
