Posted at 29/11/2024 07:21 by 2gekko I'm glad it works for you rovi, I took high risks which on some shares like BP at the time of the oil well leak I made a fortune but of course also had my share of hits |
Posted at 28/11/2024 17:43 by jonjonck I am worried about my portfolio of shares, they keep going up in price and gets me really anxious they might fall. This is not normal!!Good Afternoon chaps. "Making total logical sense", deary me as clearly something amiss there. And... LOL man and woman flu. |
Posted at 09/11/2024 11:39 by jonjonck Good Morning.Just finished making another 150 grams of butter. Used the food mixer this time which makes it much easier so will try with a lot more cream next time. Works out about the same price as Tesco's cheap butter and a big saving on buying other butters and so much nicer. |

Posted at 20/10/2024 09:33 by jonjonck Good Morning.Around here it is just a few individuals who do not pick up and get all dog owners a bad name. Storm seems to be coming but not bad yet, just normal autumn wet weather with a bit of wind but heavy rain....20 to 30mph winds. Not sure my fences will survive another storm - they have been repaired so often. I was going to get new panels earlier in the year but never actually did. Could not find the quality I wanted at a sensible price and stocks were low leaving just the rubbish panels. |

Posted at 10/10/2024 13:21 by whites123 Shares Ideas.... (Tips?)In my opinion Alphawave (AWE) stands out as an incredible strong buy opportunity, with a clear path to growth despite broader market challenges. The company recently adjusted its full-year guidance, but the 6% reduction is a small dip considering the turbulent macroeconomic backdrop. What's far more important is the momentum behind Alphawave's strategic moves, particularly its game-changing collaboration with Arm. This partnership is a massive catalyst that will transform Alphawave’s market position in high-speed connectivity and semiconductor IP, driving innovation and sales across key markets such as AI, data centers, and advanced computing. Arm, one of the most prominent names in semiconductor architecture, brings a powerhouse ecosystem and cutting-edge design capabilities to the table. By partnering with Arm, Alphawave positions itself at the core of next-gen tech infrastructures, becoming indispensable to customers that require faster, more efficient data processing. This synergy is expected to result in a major uptick in both licensing revenue and long-term design wins. Additionally, despite the slight reduction in guidance, the company's overall trajectory remains solid, with its innovative product line driving sustained demand. As industries move towards AI, 5G and 6G, and cloud computing, Alphawave’s IP solutions are increasingly critical. Its ability to help companies achieve lower latency, faster data transfer, and better power efficiency means that it is well-positioned to capture a larger market share in these rapidly expanding sectors. Now, as the collaboration with Arm ramps up, expect a significant boost to Alphawave’s visibility, customer base, and revenue streams. With shares still undervalued relative to its potential, this is the time to invest in a company that’s poised to ride the next big wave in semiconductor innovation. With 6G on the horizon and Alphawave in collaboration with Arm, AWE is nailed on to benefit from this. Defence requirements for IP such as AWE's is further affirmation its on the cusp of greater things. |

Posted at 17/8/2024 22:50 by jonjonck Good idea for a curry night. I will make sure I am wearing laced up shoes.Just ordered a replacement crankshaft bolt for when I replace the pulley ... its a stretch bolt so probably time I replaced it as reused the old one about 4 times now.... have ordered one from Ford (genuine part) as half the price of other suppliers and should be of good quality. |
Posted at 12/8/2024 10:09 by jonjonck I had a couple of failures in the motorhome on holiday. The water pump for the habitation water valves failed. Could not get the valve seals so had to buy a complete pump at £100 approx. I thought it was expensive but turns out it was not a bad price at all.The other fail is the engine crankshaft harmonic damper pulley. Started making a loud rattling sound which was worrying at first but as it did not get any worse just lived with it. I have a new one to fit but did not have it with me. The good news is this year the brakes performed well and did not warp any brake discs going over mountain passes. The wheel hub caps I painted did fine except the front ones when coming down a mountain got so hot the paint softened as not fully hardened and the brake dust has all stuck to it. It has hardened now with all the heat!!! |
