The Board of Thomas Walker PLC announced on 19 December 2003 that Countrywide
Homes (Mercia) Limited ("Countrywide") had been unable to complete the purchase
of Thomas Walker's St Paul's Square property (the "Property") on 18 December
2003, as required by the terms of a sale and purchase agreement dated 16 May
2002.



The Board of Thomas Walker PLC is now pleased to announce that Countrywide
completed the purchase of the Property on 9 January 2004, and that the balance
of the sale proceeds due on completion, being #2.25 million, together with late
payment interest of #11,866, have been received in full.
