                        GRANT OF SHARE OPTIONS TO STAFF



Following the announcement of its maiden preliminary results yesterday, for the
year ended 30 April 2003, THB Group plc ("THB") announces the grant of share
options to staff under the Company Share Option Plan 2002 over 1,000,000
Ordinary 10p shares, representing 3.77% of the issued share capital.



The grant was made on 4 September 2003 to all staff with greater than 12 months'
service with the group, at a subscription price of 128p per share, being the
average mid-market price for the three preceeding days. Under the grant,
exercise of the options will be permitted at any time between 4 September 2006
and 4 September 2013, conditional upon compound growth in earnings per share of
3 per cent or more per annum (after inflation) over any successive three year
period.



The grant included options for the following directors:
