In my opinion it is too early to talk about a takeover but it's worth noting that reserves are valued at 5 times Tethys present market cap so a takeover would need a decent premium to that to be successful.
Morgan Stanley are certainly piling in.

Shame we didn't get any news last night. When Tethys referenced the two weeks I did think it was rather optimistic but there you go. Either way the news is due and could land at any time.

1399Peter, at the moment I guess Bill is not allowed to buy due to rules on buying on price sensitive news no doubt hence the buying of hundreds and thousands pre news.

It's hard to second guess the reasons why we get high trading days. It's either to fulfil the trading quota (as you mention) or there's some news in the pipeline. Or the shares have just become available to buy and everyone knows that if they don't buy em, Bill Wells will. I have often found that it means nada, unfortunately. (although I am quietly hoping we get a massive bloody offer for the whole lot).

Regarding the Tethys trading history, I have been thinking about that because it causes much frustration here. We have days of virtually no trading and then we get other days with heavy trading(for Tethys).
I think the answer is that Tethys are only traded infrequently and trading on the low volume days is carried out by trading bots.
The reason I say that is because it's my understanding that in order for Tethys to have a listing it has to have a certain number of shares traded over a certain time so the frequent trades of less than 10 shares that we see is probably trading bots maintaining that set level of trades.
