02/12/2016 16:02 | As news outlets keep picking up on the Kumar acquisition of Tethys shares, a Singapore drag comedian named Kumar keeps showing up in the articles: hxxps://article.wn.c | benandemmiboo
02/12/2016 15:13 | Naim, Take a look at Nostrum's corporate governance guidelines and it provides an interesting resume of the conflicts of interest which has been addressed relating to the chairman. " The chairman, Frank Monstrey, does not meet the independence criteria, given his executive chairman role in Nostrum. Companies owned and controlled by the chairman acquired Nostrum's assets outright in 2004 and the chairman has been a leading driver behind the successful development of Nostrum since 2004. The Board accepts this given the chairman's experience and expertise in the development of the Group's oil and gas assets in Kaz". Anyway enough about Nostrum who tried to acquire Tethys in competition with the Assabayev family. Let us see what Soosaipilla and Kumar can deliver to Tethys !. | hguess16
02/12/2016 12:15 | Got to start somewhere. | temporarily insane
02/12/2016 12:05 | I am sure the shareholders of Mayfair would be most surprised to know that Frank had "borrowed" their shares. If you took the time to download & read the attachment I provided a link to it helpfully explains that Mayfair is the investment vehicle of Messrs Kulibayev (Kazakh), Tiku (Non-resident Indian) & Mittal (Non-resident Indian). Mayfair is the largest shareholder in Nostrum, then Nova Capital Management, then Monstrey's family interests. Mittal controls Kazakhstan’s largest steel company, major coal mines. Mr Tiku is a shareholder in many different companies in Kazakhstan. The point I was making, is that these gentlemen are very influential (scale/jobs/taxes) whilst the Kumar’s are not (unless they are acting as a proxy for others). I am constantly surprised/amused at the hyperbole used here, it’s little wonder failure/Tethys are synonymous with each other. | naimanka74
02/12/2016 10:50 | Interesting posts gentlemen. | temporarily insane
02/12/2016 08:41 | Trump's comments on Kazakhstan: hxxp://www.politico. Lots of articles around the web this morning re: the phone call. None yet mentioning how the two Presidents discussed the whole Tethys situation (but one can read behind the lines). | benandemmiboo
02/12/2016 08:01 | Naim, To add to my previous note: Nostrum is the brainchild of Frank Monstrey, the Belgian Financier. Mayfair Investments BV which owns 25.68% of Nostrum is controlled by Frank Monstrey. Nostrum Oil and Gas, formerly known as Zhaikmunia is linked to business interets of Timur Kulibayev, son-in- law of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev. In 2015, Nostrum bid for Tethys in competition with the Assaubayev Family in KAZ who controlled AGR Energy. So I have yet to see your KAZ Indiand in this game of " smoke & mirrors" | hguess16
02/12/2016 07:43 | Naim, here is the Board of Nostrum Oil & Gas. Frank Monstrey Exec Chairman Kai Uwe Kessel CEO Eike Von Linden Non Exec Dir Piet Everaat Non Exec Dir Atul Gupta Non Exec Dir Pankaj Jain Non Exec Dir Sir Christopher Codrington Indep Non Exec Dir Mark Martin Indep Non Exec Dir Who are your Big " Indian " Directors in KAZ who control Nostrum ?. Name them please !. | hguess16
02/12/2016 07:27 | Typical Naim !. Just like your paymasters !. Hiding behind some shadowy interests !. So Mayfair and Sir Frank Monstrey represent the interests of "your Indians" who work behind the scenes in KAZ !. At least a company like Tethys listed on the LSE shows who the real investors are. Winston Soosaipillai and Medgat Khan are quite transparent about their interest in Tethys and have shown their hand. Who are these so called " Indians" in KAZ who control Nostrum ?. Tell us who they are and I will check them out !. It might throw some light on why Nostrum, controlled by "your shadowy Indians " were keen on acquiring Tethys and then qualified their interest by reducing the price and proposing changes to the original deal. | hguess16
01/12/2016 23:19 | The only two Indians with any traction in Kazakhstan each own 1/3 of Mayfair, which, in turn is the biggest shareholder in Nostrum, it's public record, not only in the document I referenced. The guys on the (Nostrum) board represent their interests. So you proved me wrong how exactly, I'm here to learn....? I am not bitter, I am angry, incompetence in public companies should be punished, this was (at best) incompetence, at worst something more suspect. Reading that piece shows how much value has been destroyed in quite a short period of time by the various impersonators running Tethys. | naimanka74
01/12/2016 19:19 | Naim, Your story about big Indian shareholders is incorrect as I pointed out. I know about the heavyweight investors in Nostrum, so no new news there !. You bitterness shows !. Move on !. | hguess16
01/12/2016 18:45 | "The TSX, yes I question their credibility, thats why the shareholders voted to delist from it but.....hasn't happened LOL....wonder why?" | temporarily insane
01/12/2016 18:35 | Tethys shares are now (at 1:29 PM, Eastern Time US) 2 cents under the TETHF ticker. They were .06 cents just two days ago. | benandemmiboo
01/12/2016 18:00 | Naim, Sour grapes as usual !. The so called big shareholders in Nostrum are Non-exec directors Pankaj Jain who has 0.064% of the shares and Atul Gupta who has no shares. Are looking at the right website ?. Are you questioning the credibility of TSX as they have signed off on the deal ?> | hguess16
01/12/2016 17:24 | Indeed (12619) there are many questions around all of this, mainly around the competence of the board. On the "dodgy" warrants, it can't be co-incidental that Pope topped up in order to be sure to neutralise the biggest remaining shareholder outside of Pope/Olisol (to stop them voting with Olisol). So how the TSX signed off on such a “deal” is beyond me completely, as its clearly a stealth takeover (without a bid), but Pope probably only interested in getting their loans back and something from the wreckage. We obviously don’t know the full story (maybe Olisol will enlighten us through their “voice”) of what happened but bottom line, a lot of money invested, nothing gained, declining production, declining shareprice. So good luck to the Kumars…..but | naimanka74
01/12/2016 16:58 | So the above persons are taking Tethys into 2017, and no surprises, we all knew the oil price would rise for 2017. Just got to get the stuff out of the ground and exported. I guess this is where the Kumars come in. | temporarily insane
01/12/2016 16:57 | Interesting that Medgat's company is called "JIN GUANG" and that he's a director of it, not the owner. Maybe Chinese ownership? | casual47

01/12/2016 16:12 | Looks like I was right.......relation E.g. .2 Conflicts of Interest If a matter arises which does or could, in the opinion of an Independent Director, give rise to a potential conflict of interest between any member of the Tethys Group, on the one hand, and any of the Shareholder Directors, either Shareholder or any member of either Shareholder Group, on the other, including: (.....) | casual47
01/12/2016 15:56 | Note the word 'perhaps' There has to be some reason why Sjoborg joined. Where I can I try to find out the facts, hence my email to the company. Where facts are absent it's OK to speculate/ponder/thi | casual47
01/12/2016 15:42 | lol causual, you do make me laugh!!! First of all according to you it was nailed on that Sjoberg was introduced to the TPL board as the Cayman lenders insisted it, now you say he has more than likely been introduced to the BoD's as he will be having the ultimate & final controlling vote in any board meeting... You been using that hash pipe again? | dorset64
01/12/2016 15:23 | Cheers casual47. Little by little Tethys is getting back on its feet. | temporarily insane |
