10/2/2005 18:55 | hastings The TS sounded very upbeat and prompted me to dip my toe. I have a short term (mid year) target in the range 80 - 90p and will ne looking for 120 - 130p a further 12 months out. | alfwilson
10/2/2005 09:16 | Trading update confirms that everything is very much on track. Taking a look at the House Broker forecasts the shares look very much on the cheap side imo. With EPS of 5.6p expected for 2006 a 12 month shareprice circa £1.00 should be achievable giving a forward per of around 18, hardly expensive at the current price! | hastings
30/1/2005 14:34 | Yes a very healthy upward bounce maintaining the uptrend | beaufort1

11/12/2004 09:33 | LONDON, December 9 (newratings.com) - Analyst Alan Howard of Canaccord Capital maintains his "hold" rating on Ten Alps Communications (TAL.ISE). The target price has been raised from 44.6p to 47.3p. In a research note published yesterday, the analyst mentions that the state-owned broadcaster, BBC, intends to outsource an additional 25% of its television production to independent producers. BBC is also likely to double its number of independently produced radio hours, the analyst says. Canaccord Capital expects Ten Alps Communications to benefit significantly in the near future from the additional production outsourcing. | md2k

03/12/2004 16:19 | Good rise today, hopefully can keep this up throughout next week. How much does everyone think the teachers channel contract could potentially be worth to TAL? | wilco99
03/12/2004 08:27 | Buy rec. in IC this morning. Sees Durlacher forecasts as 'conservative'. Notes the Teachers' Channel contract and other opportunties in television with BBC outsourcing more to independents. | don carter
30/11/2004 13:03 | I sold on the results because to make the numbers for the year profit and eps will have to grow exceptionally but the company does not yet have such a record. Maybe next year and I'll keep watching. | johnrxx99
30/11/2004 11:48 | - they are funding medium term growth from short term working capital and unless it is redressed then the company will run out of cash - What does this mean? At the start of the period the company had net cash of £3.4 million. The Company spent £288,000 of cash during the period on acquisitions (which seems a reasonable thing to do). Cashflow during the period, before working capital movements and acquisitions, was £27,000. So if anything medium term growth is being funded from profitability. As it happens the Company also benefitted from working capital movements which resulted in cash being £400k overall higher at the end of the period. | stemis
30/11/2004 10:58 | Carpedeum2 and iroll, I was very setback with these results so I sold the stock. Don't take it personally! Turnover was up 64% and EBITA was up 35%. I think you are right they are funding medium term growth from short term working capital and unless it is redressed then the company will run out of cash. Too risky for me. Comments re spread bets and horse racing......let you work out how relevant those are. Ten Alps could be the 3.40 at Newmarket!. Anyway good luck all those who hold. | mariopeter
30/11/2004 08:12 | Ten Alps Communications received blanket coverage in the weekend newspapers following the release of interim results last Friday. The Weekend FT reported that Durlacher is forecasting a full year pre-tax profit of £1.6m before goodwill, a sizeable gain from last year's £0.6m profit. At 47.5p this would put the shares on a forward pe of 14, at a discount to the media sector. | stemis
29/11/2004 13:59 | CarpeDiem2: Well said. My views exactly. Serious growth, top contracts, quality products, and cash in the bank. Typo56: H2 is expected to be a lot bigger than H1. It has been for the last 3 years and, as I understand the story unfolding, you would expect it to be like that this year with the massive teachers' contract on board. The results a few days ago were not expected to be spectacular, but they turned out pretty good IMHO. | don carter
28/11/2004 08:39 | Ten Alps have just updated their website, which looks very good indeed. also they have various new items on their including a presentation on future aquisitions. | md2k |
