Posted at 25/6/2009 15:23 by varies Not much life on this thread which is hardly surprising. It looks as if Mr. Gyllenhammer must have voted against the proposal to de-list the company with his 26% (or more)of the capital. Since the directors needed 75% for this proposal, it seems odd they they did not consult him first; perhaps they did and he changed his mind. If the de-listing had proceeded, we stood to receive 5p a share fairly soon. Mr.G is an active investor with fingers in many pies and I hope he may have plans for TSP which will be of benefit to long-suffering small shareholders like me. (I believe he paid about 6p a share some 18 months ago and a loss of 17% would be respectable in these markets) Does anyone have a view ? |
Posted at 01/12/2006 13:45 by howdlep Perhaps our prayers have been answered. Now that costs have been drastically reduced, maybe value will be realised. Certainly the premises sale and news of pending contracts will attract the interest of value investors. |
Posted at 12/10/2006 14:37 by latifs100 peter gylhemmer must be the worst investor.. his shareholding in densitron, and telspec are well over 70 percent down. and a fool like me picked these dogs.live and learn |
Posted at 11/10/2006 07:06 by brownp 1) Faraday Holding own a large stake of Telspec, this is true I am not denying that.2) Faraday holding own 49%, not as far as I can tell. 41.97% looks correct. 3) Buffet ultimately has a stake in a company called Faraday Holdings Limited in the UK. I'll believe you and take it as true. 4) Faraday Holdings Limited UK and Faraday Holdings holding 41.97 in Telspec having anything to do with each other than a common name, I can find no proof of. Point me to a URL with a definitive link between. BTW a share tipping site doesn't count. Ultimitely its the small investors choice to believe the link or not, I would recommend looking at Telspec annual reports as a guide. Start with 1999. P. |
Posted at 10/10/2006 14:22 by howdlep NRHorsleyI agree that contract wins are unlikley. However, your basket case remark is somewhat off the mark. The share price is up 80% from its lows. It is all down to where investors see value. Hence why the large players are building stakes. |
Posted at 22/4/2005 06:45 by goldengoose We've heard the clap of thunder, how long before we find out where the lightning stuck? How many volts, what value, will such bolt/s add to Telspec? Must say, I'm rather excited now we've crossed the 20p mark, even if we should retrace a little, unlikely imo, but may happen. We've witnessed signs of strong investor confidence returning. And why not indeed! Demonstrating that, if nothing else, of itself Telspec has been grossly undervalued for some time, and investors' are content enough just to level the situation based on cash & decent management. Delivering the lightning now, might very well, and I for one expect it, add some decent wattage to this company's bottom line, that will in turn light up the stock & shine for many more years to come. A new time, a new generation of & for; technology and a new phase in Telspec. Enjoy the ride boys, IF as I believe, it transpires of course ;-) GG |

Posted at 07/4/2005 07:16 by goldengoose News of a substantial contract or two, or any significant increase in cashfow revenues for that matter, should see the stock double at a stroke and head towards a more realistic market valuation. BUT there appears to be too much of an IF about the likelihood, and until that is dealt with, 'cheap as chips' will be the sign hanging on the door. While most investors wait to ensure that lovely, pot o' gold, hasn't a hole in the bottom & see management leak it all away. Patience & trust in the management to see them stick their mark on this one and put a stubby finger in that hole should be well rewarded imo. GG |
Posted at 14/3/2005 07:32 by goldengoose Thanks Failsafe - much appreciated looking at your views it's one I'd agree with taking into account you've not been following the story. The fisherman within me believes there's a good fish in the river just waiting to be caught, and I'm not put off by the 'fishy stories' of others. Here, I think, we'll see that 20+, long-term value might well have had a few shakes over the last 18 months, but it is turning I believe, and we'll hopefully get a more promising picture with the results as to where we can expect these to go. I can't say as I blame investors' waiting for confirmation, after all that's gone, but I'm also aware that if things are better with Telspec than the price argues, the climb will be rapid. Good risk/reward for me & one I'm happy to stick with. Trust you enjoyed my précis of the SCO AGM. GG |
Posted at 17/2/2005 20:09 by goldengoose They've a lot of cash imo, and by my reckoning, all the right contacts in their chosen area of business. I'd say they were well positioned to make a resurgance, whispers are there's a lot being considered / talked through & expected, but whether there's anything announceable with this next set of results remains to be seen. I hope so, with my calculation it could double overnight on one decent piece of good news especially if it has maintained a half-decent balance sheet. T/0 might well be down for the year, but that ill-fated fire, which may have been a mixed blessing, and good news going forward could have 'another' phoenix written on it. ;0) Fairly well-rated management, keep watching! If it really isn't out there to be won, I wouldn't expect them to fritter it away and believe they're dynamic enough to ensure their present value isn't punished much, if any, further. This is a company that doesn't dance to the investors' tune, but goes about its business. Fingers crossed, I'm also in for the second time, and I'm not inclined to withdraw. Folks can buy my stock later if I'm right; otherwise, I'll weigh it up post results. Certainly don't expect too much loss from here, then again that's enough reason to leave it eh? :-)). Good luck GG ;-) |
