I only know about Brit from Investors Chronicle, how did everyone else discover it?

Yes to be fair I've laughed at some of IC's tips at times too, especially when they tipped Easyjet as a sell at 744p in December 2012. Just a quick glance at the charts showed me that this was a share in a very strong uptrend...professional investors / traders would be looking for opportunities to buy on the dip, certainly not to short. The price went on to peak at over 1800p, since when it's pulled back - but it's still over 1500p, i.e. well over double the price at which they tipped it as a sell.

As Lord Gnome says, the best way to use any tips is as a source of ideas for personal research.

Investors Chronicle is saying this week that this is a buy with a dividend expectation of 15% . If this were the case I would certainly buy some.

What's so good about the LSE? If you are free to relocate why not try NASDAQ or NYSE shares. They have much bigger swings and tend not to be at the mercy of market makers (market makers when short of stock suddenly drop the price 20 to 30% to scare private investors, pick up shares on the cheap and then sell them on at a 50% profit. Occasionally, they leave the price down for weeks or months to 'demonstrate' that sudden drops are not arbitrary scare tactics). To get back to the thread, I am not proud to be associated with English market makers!
