                                 SWP GROUP PLC

                 Suspension of trading in the Company's Shares

SWP Group PLC ("SWP" or "the Company") announces that it has been unable to
finalise its interim results for the period ended 31 December 2003. Accordingly,
trading in the Company's ordinary shares has been suspended with immediate
effect.

The Directors of SWP are in the process of finalising these interim results and
will announce them as soon as possible at which time it is expected that trading
in the Company's shares will resume.

SWP also announces that it is in the final stages of completing an equity issue,
which has been previously referred to, in order to strengthenthe Company's
balance sheet. An announcement in relation to this will be made in due course.
