Posted at 29/4/2016 08:54 by jackbal was hoping for more profitability and less deterioration in cash balance. Of course this is further evidence of turning the corner but the corner is wider than I hoped it would be. Wasnt expecting fireworks or dividends. One of the problems in my opinion with this stock is just lack of volume, cant see these results making many headlines or attracting new investors. Can you ? |
Posted at 29/4/2016 08:09 by jackbal results ok but must say Im not that thrilled. Seems to me joint brokers appointed in case they need to raise money based on current net cash position. Whilst I believe it is a sensible move on a "just in case" basis I think any rise in share price will be sold into by investors/traders not willing to play the long term out.Could be better, could be worse seems fitting. Good luck all. Perhaps I am being slightly cynical but penny shares make me like it! |

"The focus is on genuine smaller companies where information gaps exist and potential for mispricing and return is greatest." |
Posted at 10/3/2015 08:17 by envirovision This dog should have been shot in 2013, what the hell is it doing still trading ?How have they managed to extract funding from shareholders, are its investors complete and utter morons or something? |
Posted at 01/5/2013 10:07 by knigel Understood but my point still stands that all existing shareholders should be offered the chance to buy new shares at 2p in any equity raising. HHR was quite a small company too before the D4E/open offer/placing... However since the share price is now just above the 2p placing - at least new investors can buy in at this level and existing shareholders can average down if they choose to.. |
Posted at 01/5/2013 09:47 by kinbasket Knigel, I think you are confusing an open offer with a placing. HHR had a combination of both. Placing for accredited investors and open offer for plebs. And they issued a full prospectusThe full prospectus rules apply if you are offering shares to members of the public. A company the size of SPGH can't go down the route of a full offering, there isn't time nor money. |
Posted at 01/5/2013 09:35 by kinbasket No, A placing can't be open to all shareholders. That makes it a rights issue. There is a limit to the number of holders you can place to without issuing a full prospectus. 150 I think. You can also only place to accredited investors without full prospectus. If you want to get involved in placings it's pretty simple. Just get a decent broker, get yourself accredited status and put your name on the list. You can contact companies directly and tell them you are interested if they place shares. Bit of a moot point really as it's already happened here. |
Posted at 18/3/2013 22:28 by qut One thing is almost for certain - the 3 Irish investors are in this together and, if my Maths is right, they own getting on for 40% of the shares |
Posted at 14/3/2013 16:30 by the_beagle I don't think fund raising, especially of the placing sort, is likely for at least two or three months. Anything could happen with the new investors before then imo. |
Posted at 06/3/2013 21:53 by craffert with a market cap of just £3mn Chadwick or Barnett's could take this out at a blink - both would have the capital to do so. But perhaps they are also a bit shocked by the trading update. Even big investors will feel stung by a 50% hit on their investment. |
