Annual General Meeting and Operations Update

Sunkar (AIM: SKR) announces that, in light of the recommended cash offer made for the Company by Sun Avenue Partners Corp., on 17 June 2014, the board of Sunkar have elected to convene the Company's Annual General Meeting on 19 August 2014, after the date on which such offer either will, or will not, have become unconditional as to acceptances.

Accordingly, a separate announcement, including details of the meeting and confirmation of the posting of a Notice of Annual General Meeting and a Form of Proxy for the Annual General Meeting, will be issued in due course.

As announced on 2 April 2014, the Company's wholly owned subsidiary Temir-Service LLP ("Temir") agreed an extension to the second earth moving contract with a value of approximately KZT79 million ($434,000). The majority of these works were completed, in terms of volumes, during April 2014 and Temir now expects to complete the final works during the course of July 2014.

Temir is also yet to complete approximately 5,000 m(3) of works under the first earth moving contract, as these were delayed due to other critical path workstreams, which had to be completed prior to completion of the embankment, which is the main element of this earth moving contract. Although these works were expected to have been completed by the end of this quarter, Temir now expects to complete these works during the course of July 2014.
