04/9/2007 17:13 | Posted today on stockhouse about the rig to be used for Breagh. This encouraging news means drilling is not so far off now. "Just reached td on Tullow's gas drill and hit a good well. She'll move to Breagh next. We have 10% working interest and another 4% (app) of Encore which has a 15% working interest so we have some more leverage than just our basic 10% w.i. The well should spud and hit td by month's end. Not many cheapies will be left by then in my estimation." | afcal1972

17/7/2007 15:03 | Hi, I acquired these through my Grove holding. Do you have any views on the potential newsflow for exploration activity? Any views on whether 53m was a good price for Grove? I posted some stuff about Grove on Motley Fool some time ago; I'll see if there is anything relevant to Stratic holders. Rich | rrogans

03/7/2007 14:50 | Stratic listing sees Enterprise team return By Maggie Urry The listing on Aim on Thursday of Stratic Energy (SE.V - news) , an oil and gas group, brings back to the London stock market the team that once ran Enterprise Oil (EON.V - news) , in its heyday the UK's Britain's biggest independent oil company. Sir Graham Hearne, who joined Enterprise in 1983 and chaired the company when it was finally sold to Shell (LSE: RDSB.L - news) in 2002 for £3.5bn, is chairman of Stratic, while Kevin Watts, Stratic's chief executive, was corporate development director at Enterprise when it fell to Shell. Mark Bilsland, Stratic's chief operating officer, is a petroleum engineer who also worked for Enterprise, while Peter Thomas, once Enterprise's group treasurer, is now Stratic's chief financial officer. Other Enterprise alumni Charles Nieto and Kim Hosgood also have roles with Stratic. Like Enterprise, which was one of the beneficiaries of the North Sea oil boom, Stratic has interests in blocks in the UK and Dutch sectors of the North Sea, and also has interests in Italy, Turkey, Syria and Tunisia. It has proved and probable reserves equivalent to 15.5m barrels of oil, and has begun production of gas from the Akkaya field in the Black Sea, offshore Turkey. Stratic, which has a listing on the Toronto TSX Venture Exchange, promised to seek a London listing when it took over Grove Energy (LSE: GRV.L - news) , the Aim-listed group, in February for £53m. It has not raised any new money, and has a market value of £135m rather less than Enterprise was sold for. | afcal1972
