American Stock Exchange to Trade Options on Ten Securities 


NEW YORK, Oct. 7  /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)) will
launch trading in options on Friday, October 8, 2004 on the following Nasdaq
and New York Stock Exchange listed stocks of:

   *  Apartment Investment and Management Company (Symbol: AIV)

   *  Applied Films Corporation (Option Symbol: UOF/Stock Symbol: AFCO)

   *  Corgentech Inc. (Option Symbol: GTQ/Stock Symbol: CGTK)

   *  Global Payments Inc. (Symbol: GPN)

   *  Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (Option Symbol: IUH/
      Stock Symbol: ISSI)

   *  Ispat Internation N.V. (Option Symbol: IST/Stock Symbol: IST)

   *  Merix Corporation (Option Symbol: KXQ/Stock Symbol: MERX)

   *  Pengrowth Energy Trust (Symbol: PGH)

Apartment Investment and Management Company options will open with position
limits of 6,000,000 shares.  The options will trade on the March expiration
cycle.  The Specialist will be Charlton Specialist Partners, LLC. Global
Payments Inc. provides electronic transaction processing, information systems
and services.

Applied Films Corporation options will open with position limits of 2,250,000
shares.  The options will trade on the January expiration cycle. The Specialist
will be TD Options, LLC.  Applied Films Corporation utilizes and develops thin
film technology for the flat panel display industry.

Corgentech Inc. options will open with position limits of 1,350,000 shares. 
The options will trade on the February expiration cycle.  The Specialist will
be Charlton Specialist Partners, LLC.  Corgentech Inc. is a biopharmaceutical
company that discovers, develops and commercializes therapeutics called
transcription factor decoys, or TF decoys.

Global Payments Inc. options will open with position limits of 2,250,000
shares.  The options will trade on the February expiration cycle.  The
Specialist will be Kellogg Capital Group, LLC.  Global Payments Inc. provides
electronic transaction processing, information systems and services. Integrated
Silicon Solution, Inc. options will open with position limits of 7,500,000
shares.  The options will trade on the March expiration cycle.  The Specialist
will be Stuyvesant Trading Group.  Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. develops
and markets memory devices, including standard accessory memory (SRAM),
specialty dynamic random access memory (DRAM) and nonvolatile memory (NVM).

Ispat Internation N.V. options will open with position limits of 2,250,000
shares.  The options will trade on the March expiration cycle.  The Specialist
will be TANSTAAFL Research & Trading LLC.  Ispat International N.V. produces
steel using the integrated mini-mill process.

Merix Corporation options will open with position limits of 6,000,000 shares. 
The options will trade on the March expiration cycle.  The Specialist will be
Fogel Group, LLC.  Merix Corporation manufactures printed circuit boards for
use in sophisticated electronic equipment.

Pengrowth Energy Trust options will open with position limits of 6,000,000
shares.  The options will trade on the January expiration cycle.  The
Specialist will be Group One Trading, L.P.  Pengrowth Energy Trust is a royalty
trust that invests in beneficial interests in producing oil and gas fields in
Alberta, British Columbia, Offshore Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan, Canada.

Strayer Education, Inc. options will open with position limits of 1,350,000
shares.  The options will trade on the January expiration cycle. The Specialist
will be AGS Specialists, LLC.  Strayer Education, Inc. is the holding company
for Strayer University and Education Loan Processing (ELP).

Terra Industries Inc. options will open with position limits of 3,150,000
shares.  The options will trade on the March expiration cycle.  The Specialist
will be Stuyvesant Trading Group.  Terra Industries Inc. markets and produces
nitrogen fertilizer and crop protection products.
