STA seems to be still stuck. Despite tempting sellers with 1.82p this morning (highest since Christmas?), no takers yet.

Oil price (WTI) steadied at $58.95 a barrel. Very many dollars higher than some commentators predicted. But then those commentators have no shares, have had no shares in this company since 2012 and seem to have only two hobbies in their sad last 8 years - and one of them is slating STA and her loyal shareholders.

Is it true ADFVN cancelled the ego's standing order due to insignificant funds?

Turvart - I would recommend you don't get into a communication with Lewis as he lies. Also avoid Celtic unless you have money to burn

Turvart. Cetainly Landau (CEO until March 2014) was found guilty in an Australian court and was never good news for shareholders and some huge six-figure losses were racked up by investors under his regime. I cannot change your opinion of subsequent CEO's - Rory Scott-Russell, Yan Liu and the incumbent Kerry Gu. But will give my six-pennyworth that I don't think they were any different to CEO's of a lot of small companies - and all tried their best. And no-one has lost much money on this share since March 2014 - doubt many have lost much over 4 figures since; and there will have been winners.

Fwiw, I never think Rory had a chance. He had to pay huge compo to Landau and crew, he inherited a huge PR contract with an advertising company called WPP (Wire & Plastic Products), and he inherited some pretty dubious staff, a poor safety record and demotivated staff and shareholders.

Yan Liu was paid a lot less that Rory and still seemed expensive and a bit clueless. This current one seems a lot more focussed and has a lot of wealthy Chinese support, it appears - and they will all expect this new company Star Phoenix to do well. Whether shareholders will share any success is in the lap of the gods

This is the only thread that has been active since 8th Jan. Last post on WorldStocks RRL board (presumably Star Phoenix now) was on 4th Jan, last post on lse was 7th Jan, last posts on Pheonx Group thread on ADVN was by QANTAS on 8th Jan.

Nothing much to say, I suppose. share price is steady, and shows no chance of falling below 1p which some have predicted recently. Oil price is $59.12, and shows no sign of falling to less than the $50 predicted recently by some.

And STA are still here - yma o hyd. Despite 8 years now of some predicting the demise of the company. Despite some posting several times a day for 8 years that company was finished. Despite many of the doomsters (over 100 of them according to Martini) not owning shares in company since early 2012.

Yeah I wish I could share a bit of your sentiment, but the fact remains in my eyes that these directors are actually con men! LOL!

I wonder perhaps if they thought the students were American and not Canadian. Probably they sounded American. It has been an absolute disaster for Iran, whatever the cause.

Hope you have a good weekend. And that we get news this month about another potential buyer of the rigs. If Kerry Gu is excited at present, I wish he would include shareholders in that excitement a bit more.

What happened to the $65 oil price Celtic? Are you going to admit you got it wrong like Iran did?

Morning Lewis, it seems Iran have now admitted the shooting down "by accident" of the Ukranian airline due to human error. Hopefully this will help to get both sides to rethink their positions, 56 Canadians died on that plane, imagine had it been 56 US citizens, this would have gone off the scale. All very sad.
