                      APPOINTMENT OF GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR


Sportsworld Media Group plc - the sports and entertainment company - announced
today the appointment of Malcolm Gardner FCA (43) to its Board as Group
Finance Director with effect from 1 January 2002.  Malcolm was previously
Group Finance Director of Chorion plc - the quoted intellectual property and
bar nightclub group  - which he joined early in 1997.



Prior to joining Chorion, Malcolm was Finance Director and Joint Managing
Director of The Peoples Phone Company Plc and prior to that was with KPMG.



Andrew Fletcher (36), who joined Sportsworld as Chief Financial Officer in
1998 and the Board in January 1999, will continue as CFO of the Group's
international operations and Company Secretary and will step down from the
Board.



Commenting, Sportsworld Chief Executive Geoff Brown said:



"Since listing just three years ago, Sportsworld has achieved considerable
growth and international expansion based on a firm financial base and now is
the appropriate time to further strengthen our finance capabilities.  Malcolm
has much experience in supporting the development of growing businesses,
including those with intellectual property assets.   He will be a valuable
addition to the Sportsworld management team.  His strong financial and
technical background, good understanding of our industry and knowledge of the
City will all provide significant benefits to both the Company and its
shareholders.
