Is this a good deal for us SCR holders, or better than it was before the possible change...perhaps this could be a real winner as coal is in great demand now

Well CZA, Coal of Africa hasn't fared too badly, multi-bagging on Coal projects in S.A. Although CZA are very well funded, have many years' rail coal transpotation agreements ready, and have some prime coal projects, with near-term production aswell.
SCR need to raise funds,their credibility soured, its management have yet to bring a project to production etc etc. Still, its a start.
And its its not in the far reaching plateau's of Tibet!!!
Keep an eye on folks, KLG, Indonesia focussed Coal, Copper & Gold projects, microcap.

SCR management - never ones to miss jumping on a passing bandwagon.

Until the wheels come off, when they'll park it in a ditch and no doubt look for the next one.

In these small resource stocks, assets can de dressed up in very seductive finery even though they have no knickers on underneath.

However, management is everything.

I have shares in CDN which changed from being a gold prospector in China to being a thermal coal producer in Australia. If SCR does half as well I'll be dancing a jig!!

The pay-off line though suggests more to come......

Are you sure there is coal there?

Interesting range of organisations involved here now.

I wish them well, after the last few years its been painful for everybody. But at 400mn shares at 2.5p I think its not that exciting an investment prospect.

The Cat in this case was called Molly and she expired a long time ago.

I dare say they could pull something out of the hat here, but do you trust the team's ability to perform - is the question to ask I guess.

Its difficult to know whether its a dead cat bounce or something more is afoot. I guess time will tell, but some serious volume today. Good luck to all holders.

What will happen is that Clayton et all will use this as a shell and reverse smoe exploration assets into it, IMHO, as a share swap, thus diluting the current shareholders. Just a guess.

Well I started to try to take an interest today and started reading here, proactive investor and the company site.
It looks as if they have abandoned the South China idea altogether and are now thinking about digging something up in Africa. Is that right or am I missing something? If so it will mean a change of name, identifying locations and buying rights etc which will take years before any profits. Unless there are a few on the board who are highly recommended this will not be a runner for me.

3M dly @ 1.85P. Whassup? Someone has to have negotiated that mid-price. I don't have any left but I know what I did have would get laughed at if I tried to unload now.
I wonder if the promised new venture is in the wings?

Yes, I've got about 2k left. The AGM must be this week. Only reason to go is to find out what went wrong. Agreed the shares are far too high at present.

Yes, SCR has outperformed almost all my other holdings this year (I have 5000 in certificated form left, just so if I am minded I can go the the AGM) !

Stuart14 - given the state of the markets for SCR to have an enterprise value of 1.8mn is nothing short of miraculous......

well done the board - by default they have managed one thing rather well. Shame they couldnt put all holders out of their misery and change the bloody name
