Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Silverdell plc ("Silverdell" or the "Group"), the specialist environmental support services group, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Matthews to the Board as Senior Non-Executive Director with effect from 3 June 2013. John will also chair the Audit Committee.

John has very substantial experience as a non-executive Director and Chairman having pursued a portfolio career since 1995 following a number of senior management roles in the City and in industry. John is currently Senior Independent Director of Diploma PLC, a FTSE-250 business, and a consultant at SDL plc, also a FTSE-250 business, where he was also Senior Independent Director. Previously John was a non-executive Director of Aurelian Oil & Gas (recently acquired by San Leon Energy Plc), Minerva PLC (as Senior Independent Director), Regus plc (latterly as Chairman), Rotork Plc (as Senior Independent Director) and Crest Nicholson (latterly as Chairman).
