13/1/2014 16:39 | If EDS are to be placed into Administration a vehicle will be needed to go forward, this vehicle will need a 3 year asbestos licence which can only be issued to established businesses. Therefore a Newco is out of the question and I would not be surprised if rcapital have purchased ARK and appointed Mr Nutley as a Director and the three existing directors have resigned their positions as they will not be needed. ARK will then be offered for sale to the market. This does beg the question as to whether the creditors will be disacarded as they were last time. | 17paddy

13/1/2014 15:13 | It beggars belief that there are no civil proceedings being issued against certain directors of SID when I read the response of one of the employees of EDS, almost appears that there were even accounting issues prior to the transaction between EDS and SID, clearly the finances were considerably worse than any shareholder may have believed, difficult for Marwyn to be anything other than sanguine about the turn of events, a non-exec director of SID was a senior figure in Marwyn, one would have assumed he was aware of the dire situation prior to the winding-up petition against Kitsons, I can understand why HSBC lost patience with the board of SID! | bookbroker

13/1/2014 12:04 | hxxp://www.investors 'There has been plenty of hindsight comment around the warning signs for Silverdell but there was nothing to suggest that this substantial business with revenues of £82m in the prior financial year and a blue chip client base would ultimately collapse 'overnight'. The company issued no comment for 20 days relating to a winding up petition made against key operating subsidiary Kitsons, yet during that period was happy to announce the positive news of new contract awards. Silverdell senior management, the company's auditor and nomad surely have serious questions to answer! While many private shareholders are clearly enraged, leading institutional investors seemingly appear unfazed, at least publicly! Marwyn Value Investors Limited, the largest single shareholder in Silverdell, simply issued a statement confirming that it had "written down the value of our investment in Silverdell to zero" with the impact being a reduction in value of £4.3m.' | extrap

09/1/2014 21:19 | yeah thats got to be probable cause for inciting violence? but seriously even if a court case against mr nutley/silverdell is won it still needs to be enforced. i refer to the current ongoing saga with gkp where weve won but there seems to now be a drama about the loosers either being unwilling or unable to pay the winners costs. | alexkb

03/1/2014 13:11 | I had a really lucky escape here as I was close to investing only about 6 weeks before the suspension. For me it is an object lesson in not putting too much money into AIM listed stocks....I dont have more than 20% of my portfolio in AIM so I can roll with the losses and celebrate the winners. | salpara111
