Arrangement with Cisco Systems to offer advanced Call Centre
                          Solutions
                              
Stentor  Communications Ltd ("Stentor Communications")  part
of  Stentor  plc, has entered into arrangements  with  Cisco
Systems  in Ireland to provide Intelligent Call Routing  and
Web  Enablement  services  to  the  Call  Centre  and  Large
Corporate Enterprise sector in Ireland, the USA and Europe.

Stentor  Communications proposes to purchase GeoTel software
and  associated  hardware  from  Cisco  Systems  for  US$3.5
million which will be financed by Cisco Capital.  As part of
this  deal  Stentor  has  agreed an arrangement  with  Cisco
Capital  for  an  additional  finance  facility  of   US$1.7
million.

Stentor  Communications will be the first telecommunications
services   company   in  Ireland  to  provide   the   GeoTel
Intelligent Call Routing service.  This technology  is  used
extensively  by  call centres in the USA to balance  inbound
calls  evenly  between call centre companies  with  multiple
sites.

This is a particularly exciting development for call centres
in  Ireland.   Stentor Communications will be  offering  the
GeoTel service to call centres in Ireland which require  the
flexibility  to  balance and reroute calls between  Ireland,
the  USA,  the  UK and the rest of Europe.  Stentor  expects
that  the  technology will enable call centres  to  take  an
increased  volume  of business from their global  operations
into Ireland from the USA and Europe.

Stentor  Communications will also use the GeoTel  technology
to  offer  Web  Enablement technologies.   This  effectively
allows   companies  to  blend  their  traditional  telephone
services  with  internet and database  services  and  offers
considerable  benefits to the customer contact  elements  of
the   Financial  Services  sector,  the  Hotel  and  Leisure
industry and technical support operations.

These arrangements underpin the focus Stentor Communications
is  placing  on a range of IP related services.  Earlier  in
the   year  Stentor  announced  its  partnership  with   GTE
Internetworking for the provision of Global IP networks  for
Irish  customers,  in  August 1999,  Stentor  Communications
launched a range of e-commerce services in association  with
Ulster  Bank  to facilitate on-line trading and  in  October
Stentor announced its joint venture with Buy and Sell.net to
offer free internet access and portal services in Ireland.
