Posted at 27/7/2017 16:37 by powells workwear Going by the lack of posts here i do not think we have many small investors in this stock at the moment. I can see some big gains on Monday trying to get a piece of the pie. looks like there could be a lot of news to come |
Posted at 08/1/2005 10:31 by dmhzx More research here:Two of the main sharholders are brokers with nominee accounts TD Waterhouse and Barclays Personal Investment Management We should be able to discount these as direct contacts re a vote. This leaves Unicorn Asset Management as the largest single shareholder with just 3,5 million shares (5.5 %) and Tilney Investement Management with 3.4 %. Currently the directors hold just under 3% between them. (But will have effectively given themselves nearly 10% of the new one). It is also interesting that three out of the six directors are also on the remuneration committee. On the face of, we'd only need about 10 million votes, which at todays prices looks like it represents just £100K. Implications being that this company is mostly held by relatively small investors. We have a real chance of doing this folks. Surely there must be more than two of us interested?? Have another look at the interims. There's absolutely no reason other than sheer apathy why this company should be given away for 1p a share. dmhzx2000@yahoo.co.u |

Posted at 08/12/2004 12:08 by taffychaff LONDON (AFX) - Screen PLC confirmed it is at an advanced stage ofdiscussions with potential institutional and other investors concerning a significant injection of new equity capital into the company. The company added that should negotiations continue to progress favourably, it hopes to make a further announcement by the end of this month. Earlier there were rumours that the AIM-listed surveillance technology company is about to launch a heavily discounted cash call. The company added that it continues to operate within its existing banking facilities, and that trading at an operating level is in line with expectations. cml |
Posted at 08/12/2004 08:51 by bernieboy These boys really are a disgrace. Same old story - small shareholders get stuffed - city boys and directors make a killing. We just dont learn do we!! They really need to sort out the terms of this fundraising soon whilst it is still (barely) possible. However - fundraising is often done at a premium to the shareprice - so dont rule out a 2p+ deal which could then see this price as the bottom. I do agree that at some point - this could be an amazing opportunity for averaging down for people or getting in for new investors. |
Posted at 07/12/2004 12:51 by itmak looks like my 2p target has almost been met.the problem the company faces is that the cashflow they currently generate is not sufficient to support JL which requires 'heavy' investment upfront before payments (usually spread over a number of accounting periods depending upon contract size etc). They can either suddenly significantly improve profitability on all their other businesses coupled with further cost cuts (are there anymore they can make?) or they need to raise enough cash to see the business to profitability/+cashf IMHO they will need at a very minimum a £10m cash injection which is bad news to current investors as they will probably not be included in this and corresponding dilution. Usually institutional cash call is done at a discount to current price, so we could see 1.5p being such a level IMHO - watch this share from the sidelines and handle with care...for now |
Posted at 06/12/2004 14:15 by taffychaff current investors will get almost nothing in the coming dilution, however, financing to improve the balance sheet may then provide an opportunity to re-buy a share that may turn a profit.Investing and losing in companys like this have shown me that just 'cos a company has good products and wins contracts does not mean that their business model works. In these type of situations shareholders lose but the company survives. |
Posted at 01/12/2004 06:18 by divina seen it all before the MMs will drop the price for the boys to get in. Retail investors will be buying soon at a higher price. |
