Bgt a small amount today. Story since floatation still intact - company intentions are to make strategic acquisitions near/medium term. Biometrics market worth over $2b. Risk/Reward now good as the price has come down. Newsflow will dictate share price progress.

Sell of 2k shs. brought the share price down as a purchase of similar amount would propel the price up in similar proportion (spread is very large, 140-190). ---My observation of share price movement of this particular share. Basically, SDKK does not have much daily activities on average due to tightly held shares looking for long term improvement.

sdkk have taken a stake in Fingerprint Cards AB in August 2006 but, that apart, I see no 2006 figures (eg H1) for contract values or revenues (current) or projected.

Reminds me of oto
Another new company on AIM, still to release revenue figures for 2006.

A thoroughly wholesome education on this technology received cruising the sd-institute site. Ta.

Future looks bright on signing military and inter-government organizations for SDKK's secrecy-ensured documents sharing and translations.

AuthenTec fingerprint sensors already are used to provide convenient security in nearly 5 million cell phones in Asia, with recent studies indicating that U.S. residents are anxious for the same capabilities. The sensors are used to protect the device and its stored information -- such as e-mails, files, photos, text messages and contact lists -- from theft or fraud, as well as to provide secure authentication for mobile commerce. In Japan, for example, the biometric phones are used to purchase items from stores and vending machines without cash or credit cards, access trains and subways without tickets, and conduct wireless banking, among other activities.

About AuthenTec

With more than 10 million sensors in use worldwide, AuthenTec is the world leader in fingerprint sensor security, innovation and sales to the PC, wireless, and access control markets. AuthenTec's award-winning FingerLoc(R) and EntrePad(R) sensors take full advantage of The Power of Touch" by utilizing the company's patented TruePrint(R) technology to deliver the most convenient, reliable and cost-effective means available for enabling touch-powered features that extend beyond user authentication. The company's network of partners, solution providers and customers include: Analog Devices, APC, ASUSTek, Compal, Cherry, Fujitsu Computer, Computer Associates, HP, IBM, Lenovo, LG Electronics, Microsoft, Motion Computing, MPC Computers, NEC Packard Bell, Pantech, Quanta, Samsung, Tatung, Texas Instruments, Toshiba, and Wistron, among others. LONDON (SHARECAST) - Japanese biometrics outfit Secure Design rallied today on news it has acquired 300,000 shares in Stockholm-listed semiconductor fingerprint image sensor manufacturer Fingerprint Cards.

The Tokyo-based provider of fingerprint authentication products, the first Japanese company to list on AIM, paid almost £447,500 for the stake which amounts to 2.5% of the total voting power.

Secure Design became the official exclusive Japanese distributor of Fingerprint Cards in December 2005.

Since then, it has been purchasing Fingerprint Cards's fingerprint image sensor components for its products including ITube and SD-Gate.

"The acquistion of the shares in Fingerprint Cards enhances the business and technology relationships between two companies," it said.

The result has been a huge increase in the numbers from Eastern Europe living and working in Ireland. Since May 2004 more than 200,000 Personal Public Service (PPS) numbers have been issued to workers from the 10 countries.

While the wave of immigrants has helped boost the economy, the government believes a new inflow could create difficulties.

The extended measures being prepared are modeled on tough U.S. laws. They will oblige all non-EU nationals to carry biometric ID cards, with details of their residence permits condensed on a special electronic strip. Biometrics uses an individual's data to create a unique personal signature, or fingerprint.
