RNS Number:5395D Screen FX PLC 25 May 2006 Press Release 25 May 2006 ScreenFX plc ("ScreenFX" or "the Company") Trading update and re-branding ScreenFX plc (AIM: SFX), the digital advertising and communications specialists, today provides a trading update for the period since 31 December 2005. The Directors are pleased to report strong performance in both trading and business development during the period. Revenues generated so far in the current year to May total approximately #750,000 showing a significant improvement when compared to #118,000 generated in the first six months of 2005. The outdoor media market in the UK, as well as in the US, continues to make the transition from traditional to digital formats. This industry trend has been highlighted by a number of recent announcements by major companies detailing their own expansion into digital format advertising. These include Publicis Groupe and Simon Property Group's launch of Onspot Digital Network, a joint venture to deliver digital advertising solutions to shopping malls throughout the United States; Viacom Outdoor's #800 million contract win with Transport for London ("TFL") to supply digital advertising screens to the London Underground; and also, Clear Channel's recent launch of the first digital billboard network in London. These high profile announcements clearly demonstrate proof of concept for digital advertising and ScreenFX, with its already established digital screen network, believes it is well positioned to deliver major brand advertising and information services to targeted strategic locations with high footfall throughout the UK. As part of its drive to meet this increased demand for outdoor digital advertising across a range of sectors, ScreenFX today announces a re-branding of the Company to facilitate a clearer external understanding of the business and its operations. As of today ScreenFX will now have five operating divisions, as follows: MallFX - a division established in 2004 that provides digital advertising solutions to UK premium shopping malls. Current portfolio includes 20 'super malls' which yields a footfall of over 340 million consumers per annum. TrainFX - established in 2005, this is a new division designed for transport sector media, providing state of the art technology for premium marketing opportunities on commuter trains. HealthFX - a new division, established in 2006 that targets the health sector, both public and private, and addresses the need for more modern methods of communication with patients, provides patient information and communication systems. BigFX - established in 1999, this division provides large format out of home poster and banner advertising media space. LiveFX - a specialist provider of creative marketing and content services to both internal operating divisions and external clients. Dave Clark, Chief Executive of ScreenFX, said: "With the digital outdoor market growing by 20% year on year, ScreenFX continues to demonstrate our ability to move quickly and effectively in response to new market opportunities and we remain at the forefront of digital innovation. "We believe that significant value exists in our recognised UK network and that further upside is provided by our strong pipeline. As an established provider of digital services we are ideally positioned for the anticipated growth in this sector and as such view the future with considerable optimism." - Ends - For further information: ScreenFX plc David Clark, Chief Executive Tel: +44 (0) 161 428 5544 info@screenfx.com www.screenfx.com Media enquiries: Abchurch Henry Harrison-Topham / Laura Riascos De Castro Tel: +44 (0) 20 7398 7700 henry.ht@abchurch-group.com www.abchurch-group.com This information is provided by RNS The company news service from the London Stock Exchange END TSTAKQKPABKDAPB
