Scottish Mortgage Invest... Takeover Rumours (SMT)

I sold half my holding this morning. No one ever went bust taking a profit, and there should be an opportunity to get back in cheaper before the year is out. I also bought Spirent Communications. It is a bet on the takeover going through, but if it does there will be a decent arbitrage profit. I hope that a rocky market will discourage the regulators from interfering. If the takeover does fail, there will be a big price drop, but the company does seem basically sound and in time should recover, so worth the risk - fingers crossed.
