If BPR goes, I believe RWS becomes a more likely candidate for takeover. Andrew Brode would lose IHT exemption when passing on his assets so cash proceeds would be treated the same as his share holding when it comes to IHT.

If you think last year it made 120mln pretax profits and now the market cap is below 600mln I can hardly believe it is gone this cheap. Big part of the business is repeat custom so you can't expect a total crash in the second half, considering that the trade update was quite upbeat for H2.
It's a wait and see game at the moment.
I wouldn't be surprised if there is a takeover.
The only bit I don't like here is the squandering of cash for buybacks.
We went from net cash to debt. Average price paid was about 250p.

Given the share price has been low for long enough, I can see RWS become a takeover target. However the offer price ought to be in the price range of the concluded share buyback, otherwise it won't make much financial sense... And that is a 100% premium
