         RTL Group sells Swedish radio stations to Modern Times Group

Luxembourg, January 2nd 2002 - RTL Group, today announces the disposal of its
Swedish radio stations Lugna Favoriter and WOW 105.5 to the media group Modern
Times Group (MTG AB).

The agreement is subject to approval by the Radio- & TV-verket regulatory
authority.

RTL Group's Chief Executive Officer Didier Bellens commented: "The disposal of
stations Lugna Favoriter and WOW 105.5 is part of an ongoing portfolio review
within RTL Group, as we continue to focus on our strong core businesses while
reviewing loss-making or non-core activities."

Both radio stations are based in Stockholm where Lugna Favoriter has 141,000
listeners and Wow 105.5 has 42,000 listeners.
