22/9/2005 09:54 | aref... their new website will be up and running next week. It is possible that it might include a dividend calender. But I would expect that you will have to wait at least until the trading update, before we know when any dividend payments will be made. | gateside

03/8/2005 20:59 | Great article in Daily Express today re: RHM -the journalist is a private investor who sold out of Premier Foods crystalising a 15% gain and switched into RHM. Said something like the shares are good value on 9 times projected 2007 earnings and a prospective div yield of 5.5%. When's the rest of the market going to smell the bacon? | madaboutmoney
20/7/2005 16:31 | £250M pension deficit on admission........... Better rates admittedly, 'repay its securitised debt facility and associated expenses' means all the redemption penalties arrangement and broker fees again presumably. Thats the business to be in. Thanks steve and good luck. | jamesgkenny
20/7/2005 14:43 | From Doughty Hanson & Co's website : RHM intends to use the net proceeds received from the Global Offer and the funds available under the new unsecured bank facility to (i) make a contribution to the RHM Pension Scheme of £125 million and (ii) repay its securitised debt facility and associated expenses, as well as other debt financing put in place at the time of Doughty Hanson's purchase of RHM. RHM has agreed to pay £125 million into the RHM pension fund following Admission. Following this payment the pension fund deficit on a pro forma basis will be reduced to £125 million net of a deferred tax credit of £53 million. Pro forma net debt on Admission, after the payment of £125 million into the RHM pension fund, is expected to be reduced to £711 million, from £929 million at 30 April 2005. The effective interest rate on debt will be reduced from 9.5 per cent. to approximately 5.75 per cent. | sailor steve

19/7/2005 22:32 | Evening Gates, haven't seen you on the pub thread much lately ;o). Other than a 3 yr break I've worked for RHM, Tomkins, Doughty Hanson, RHM since '73. Wouldn't buy them myself. | riverdiver
19/7/2005 22:16 | well it's defo a defensive stock with a yeild and PE like that. Problem is, i still don't like it. I am watching to see how far it rallies before someone starts profit taking. | ianwc
19/7/2005 15:04 | The yield of over 5% at 300p is the main reason for buying into RHM. All opinion seems to point to sluggish growth, reinforced by the probability of the big supermarkets' pricing of own-brands capping price increases in RHM's branded products. However in the wider scenario of economic slowdown and falling interest rates this has to be a good place to put pension & long term savings. So I've been into the market and added a proportionally large holding into my portfolio at 295.8p (offer) with no intention of selling in the next couple of years. | sailor steve
19/7/2005 14:34 | Interesting article about RHM.... | gateside |
