08/2/2011 13:54 | Nice update, good to see a few buying on the dip too. Perhaps a backtest before settling back up into its longer term range? An update from ithaca on their North Sea prospects wouldn't help there imo. | eric76
08/2/2011 08:20 | More good news just out: "New Zealand Geothermal contract renewal Rheochem Plc (AIM:RHEP), the oil and gas business with oil services, production, development and exploration assets is pleased to announce that it has extended its drilling fluids and related services supply agreement with Contact Energy Ltd for up to a further eight geothermal wells. This is the eighth subsequent extension since the contract was originally signed in April 2005. Contact Energy is one of New Zealand's leading electricity generators and retailers, and one of the country's largest listed companies. It is also one of the biggest generators of renewable geothermal electricity in New Zealand. Rheochem has an established position in the geothermal market with operations in Australia and New Zealand. This represents a large opportunity for Rheochem and given the high barriers to entry due to the technical expertise needed to operate in the space, Rheochem has a unique position and competitive advantage. Commenting on the announcement today Haydn Gardner, CEO of Rheochem, said: "We are very pleased to have signed the eighth extension to our contract with Contact Energy. It is a testament to our expertise and service that Contact has continued to utilise our products and services for their Geothermal programme and we look forward to working with them on this exciting project."" | rivaldo

08/2/2011 06:47 | That would make sense - except that the share price was actually much cheaper in Australia than here yesterday! So no, it's likely to be UK-based demand driving this. Overnight the Oz price has moved up 10% to basically the equivalent of the UK price. | rivaldo
07/2/2011 22:46 | rivaldo - 7 Feb'11 - 15:45 - 2190 of 2192 1.3m shares traded already today here, against almost none in Australia. Whoever's buying are presumably UK-based investors, which could lead one to the conclusion that it's the North Sea interests which (unsurprisingly) are driving this -------------------- Nah. The stock is fungible: so one interested in a moderately big way could buy wherever it is cheapest. Smells like small-time punters to me. Still, the unusual mix of muds & oilflow detracts from the appeal for many; which is very nice, as both will soon be both profitable & generate cashflow. | man overbored
07/2/2011 17:59 | well done rivaldo, I think you hit the nail on the the head then, steady as she goes...dyor | thebull3
07/2/2011 15:55 | Can we expect the trading update this week ? | annie38

07/2/2011 08:04 | 67,200 shares bought pre-open at 14.5p today - someone was keen. | rivaldo
05/2/2011 06:13 | Well, I got into rhep at 6p about 6 months ago and it's doing very nicely. I certainly expect this to double in 6 months (deo that is) | bomfin
04/2/2011 12:34 | 100k just bought at 14.48p, and up we go... | rivaldo
04/2/2011 10:20 | Looking good here nice and steady as she goes. 8-) | captainfatcat
04/2/2011 09:29 | nice steady rise, great looking chart. | ducatiman
04/2/2011 09:24 | Another tick up to new highs. Ronson, I see what you mean. There haven't been follow-up announcements by other PLCs who were offered the new North Sea blocks AFAICS, so I assume once the final award is made then we'll get an RNS. | rivaldo
03/2/2011 16:18 | Rivaldo, I thought they were offered about 8 new blocks in the north sea (well zeus was), and they were awaiting a final award? from my understanding have they recieved this final award (from rns 28/10/10) or not? | ronson333
03/2/2011 15:01 | Nice 50k just bought at 14p. And the cyclone seems to have been far less severe than expected. Thx ronson333. I'm not quite sure what you mean - RHEP did obtain some new North Sea blocks in the most recent round of licenses, if that's what you mean? You'll find all the details and links further up the thread. It wasn't long ago. | rivaldo
03/2/2011 12:21 | rivaldo...your knowledge on RHEP is good, did you see my post above? tia | ronson333
03/2/2011 12:18 | Nice 166k buy at 13.75p lifted the offer to 14p from 13.75p. RHEP is performing VERY strongly despite not only the floods but also the cyclone which entered Queensland last night. Has to be investors gearing up for North Sea news flow imho. | rivaldo
03/2/2011 12:18 | all those north sea blocks which were offered...anyone know what happened with them? | ronson333
02/2/2011 15:08 | L2 improving. MMS NEVER SEEM TO GET EXCITED WITH THESE DO THEY? | ducatiman
02/2/2011 11:49 | New highs now, but still some ground to make up on the price in Australia. And that's despite some selling this morning. Serious buying interest in the background presumably. | rivaldo
02/2/2011 11:27 | Ticked up again, not quite 15% but these slight rises every few days are beginning to count. Looking forward to 20p duc. | eric76 |
