so first Fidelity are buying, now they are selling? All in the span of one week! very odd.

no worries. I added a few at 384p. But that is all i am buying for now. I would like to see how this plays out over the next week or so once the latest update has soaked in. So far analyst reaction is good. I only hope the institutions feel the same.

Well, what about this, then?
[all conjecture of course].

1/. RTR want to buy-back.
2/. Fidelity have lots.
3/. Good press and expectations take RTR to 420 ish..
4/. Results and outlook released.
5/. Fidelity sell down aggressively.
6/. Press reports innocently and earnestly explain why they think the price has been marked down. [re-structure costs outweigh near term profits etc. etc..].

However;

7/. Extaordinary volume of nearly 100 mil. recorded, [Tues].
8/. Volume buying @ 385 noted [Tues.].
9/. Volume buying @ 390 noted [Weds.].
10/. Holdings notices released late day Weds..
11/. RTR Bought back 1 mill. [note price?].
12/. Fidelity now hold 13 mill. more.
13/. No other holdings notices printed.
15/. 3 Broking houses have upgraded. [Lehman now declares a £6 target, even].

So, who sold, then bought-in for a 13 mill. net holding gain [plus some cash on the side]?

And;
Who may have benefited from this depressed price?

Probably a load of bullocks [above], but why would Fidelity up-stake by a goodly %age if RTR was off the rails?

rgds.,
H.

Fidelity picked up 1% of RTR in the last three days. And RTR started the buy-back program .... GOOD.

RTRSY closed up 2.6%, we should open up at 390p minimum tomorrow.
