27/10/2006 22:28 | I know he has large stakes in others but I think the rapid pace of his building up to 30% is just happening to fast. Announced today 4 minutes after directors announcements. I just see it too much of a coincidence that 1mill were sold by them and 1.3mill snapped up again to build his stake. RDF's portfolio is the pick of Channel 4's most successful programs that is also sold to the US. Perhaps he is looking at distributing these programs worldwide just like Big Brother has done? If anyone can he's the man to do it. | hartlepoolfc2
27/10/2006 22:20 | i wouldn't put too much faith in jon de mols stake building, he does it with a lot of companies and doesn't take all of them over. the last one i remember him stake building in - t.v. corp - he did buy out and the price dropped quite badly at one point even though he was building a position at the time. it's not as if rdf is rubbish, they seem to be doing well. i can see that the price has dropped on director selling just wondering why they all sold???? | owenski
27/10/2006 22:13 | why have so many directors sold substantial amounts of their holdings, if this was some takeover target surely you would hold on and make more money? not sure what is happening here, i'm a bit concerned although the results were good. | owenski
27/10/2006 18:19 | Directors sold 1 million, Talpa added 1.3 million. Mmmmmmm | hartlepoolfc2
27/10/2006 18:15 | I can't believe how quick Talpa is buying shares with his current holding. A takeover must be coming, those share sales must be there to feed that big purchase from Talpa. This is starting to look good for a bid. | hartlepoolfc2
27/10/2006 13:42 | A number of directors have sold shares - possibly to Talpa Beheer - friendly takeover ? | kenmill
27/10/2006 13:35 | The pace is picking up - Talpa Beheer has announced that, as of 26th October, it now has over 23%. looks like it is building up for a bid | kenmill
25/10/2006 12:49 | Talpa Beheer has bought another 250,000 on 24th, a day after announcing he had 19.82%. Now over 20%. | kenmill
24/10/2006 20:26 | Great portfolio of products, a perfect takeover target. I can't see this not being taken over in the next year. | hartlepoolfc2
24/10/2006 14:24 | Picked RDF on the 17th as a breakout candidate and it looks good so far if it can hold this level. Interesting to note the increase in volume this month as well. | billfisher98
23/10/2006 18:53 | Talpar Beheer has added another 2% to its holding - now has 19.82% | kenmill
19/10/2006 10:02 | good results and a bullish statement. 1,000 shares eventually sold today as the only trading so far. This company needs a bit of PR!! | kenmill
31/8/2006 11:45 | Is there anybody there? Looks like a good acquisition today - should provide some impetus to the share price surely? | pug
23/6/2006 18:59 | ECHO...ECHO.....ECHO God its quiet in here! Some interesting trades today. 83,000 shares crossed. I wonder if De Mol is on the march again ? | stakeadder
31/5/2006 22:09 | i appreciate the lack of chat in this thread. The crowd is yet to come here, although i know that some good institutions are in on this stock. Mark Slater mentioned RDF as one of his top small cap picks for the coming year at a recent investment conference. I haven't done the research yet on this one, but they seem to be acquiring good quality companies regularly. I am keeping my eye out for a base on the chart while i do my research. | promethean
24/5/2006 21:16 | Thanks for the charts. | diogenesj
24/5/2006 17:27 | Jan de Mol has added to his holding on ay 23, buying 250,000 shares: he now owns 14.6% (through his investment vehicle Talpa Beheer.) | benson
23/5/2006 11:52 | Could you add the charts to the header, please, benson? | diogenesj
23/5/2006 07:16 | A cracking set of results today. No wonder Jan de Mol (creator of Big Brother) has been building a stake in RDF Media. | benson
29/4/2006 21:29 | The purpose of this post is to highlight John de Mol's stakebuilding in RDF Media, through his investment vehicle Talpa Beheer BV. John de Mol is, arguably, best known for him being an original partner in Endemol (they gave us 'Big Brother'). He (through Talpa Beheer) has recently significantly increased his holding in RDF Media: Purchases: 188,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each - 5 April 2006 200,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each - 11 April 2006 341,078 ordinary shares of 1 pence each - 12 April 2006 and then on April 25, a purchase of 729,078, taking his holding to 11%. What is his intention, I wonder. | benson
29/3/2006 08:23 | Daily Express this morning: talk of 'strong trading' at RDF. | benson
10/2/2006 12:25 | That's what I like to see: investment companies taking a position: Talpa Beheer B.V. | benson
03/2/2006 13:31 | Looks good for a breakout... | billfisher98
04/1/2006 09:36 | An industry where consolidation seems to be popular. I fancy there may be a purchase or two to try to get them into the heavyweight division. | benson
01/11/2005 19:43 | anyone any views on this stock ?? | desklighting |
