01/8/2016 14:10 | Do you lot need to make dramatic statements every time the share price changes direction? Up a smidge - 'Ohhh rallying now you missed out you IDIOTS'; Down a tad - 'Aaaah you morons!!!1 Now it'll keep sliding till close'. Repeat every time there's a change of direction. None of you know, because this whole spike in REM is not fully explained (seriously, bulls, it's not - the news events you're listing didn't align significantly with the spike's timing and didn't seem to affect related stocks in the same way). Enough with the amateur dramatics. | simonsaid1

01/8/2016 12:09 | It's designed to shake out weak holders before the big news arrives! | hazelst
01/8/2016 11:57 | rossowheels, a very sober assessment! I think for most of us this was intended as a diversified, long term buy and hold. I am rather wishing I hadn't been seduced by the temporary blip and taken profits, and now intend to buy back in during the next dip. I still think the interests that this holding represents are sufficiently far-off that it'll be possible to pick some up at a bargain rate. All that said, the way this share price moves is still worrying, I doubt I'm the only one suspecting some shenanigans given its lack of correlation with specific newsflow or even with the share price of the companies REM is invested in! There's still an odd smell here, and it's not clear whether REM is a better holding than simply buying smaller allocations of shares in the actual mining firms, or lithium ETFs. Perhaps the rest of us can discuss this calmly without the Filtered Crew's yammering... | simonsaid1
01/8/2016 11:52 | Typical REM share price movement. Rushes up, people buy, slowly drifts back down, people stuck holding. Placing to follow. | nickg2
