                    THE RANGE COOKER COMPANY PLC DESPATCHED


Altium Capital Limited ("Altium") announce that the Offer Document containing
the details of the recommended cash offer for the entire issued share capital of
The Range Cooker Company plc ("Range") on behalf of Britannia Living Limited
("Britannia Living") has been posted to Range Shareholders today.  The first
closing date of the offer is 3.00 p.m. on 29 November 2002.

Commenting on the Offer, John Armstrong, the chairman of Range, said:

"The Independent Directors believe that the Offer is in the best interests of
Shareholders, enabling them to realise their investment in Range Shares for
cash. We recommend that Shareholders accept the Offer."
