On 27 May 2002 it was announced that 3i Group plc held a notifiable interest in
746,001 ordinary shares of 5p each in Property Fund Management plc ("the
Company"). Further to this notification, the Company has been notified in a
letter dated 15 July 2002 that whilst the beneficial holding of these shares
remains unchanged, 696,001 of these ordinary shares have now been registered in
