13/1/2009 12:53 | I think 80-90% is promotion and leaflet related.... Slap | slapdash
13/1/2009 12:14 | Granted, although presumably they do other things too. | spaceparallax
13/1/2009 11:49 | Space... they make leaflets for promotions... who will be spending money on that????? Slap | slapdash
08/1/2009 12:57 | Slap, it's difficult to see their business being unaffected, although I suspect that their model will offer more resilience than most competitors. | spaceparallax
07/1/2009 16:52 | dd776 - I see they appear to have done a huge price cut binge on their website and this must mean at all stores too... I just can't help thinking loads of small companies will go under which will affect PDC.... this year's results will probably not be pretty..... but we shall see.... slap | slapdash
06/1/2009 12:41 | No news on the new franchise? Always slow to pick up after the x-mas holiday. | dd776
24/12/2008 13:20 | who can see if 2009 is going to be an improvement on this year | dd776
16/12/2008 13:30 | My dividend gets paid direct to my bank by BACS. Looks like I missed all the fun. Just checked my bank online and only one dividend received. | tyranosaurus
16/12/2008 13:14 | Me too - One yesterday another today! identical tt | talltalk
16/12/2008 12:03 | Me too, 2 cheques with the identical cheque numbers et al. Is it worth banking them both? ;-) Dr.L | doctor l
16/12/2008 09:43 | Top, I too got two chqs, but put it down to having bought shares in two identical blocks. | spaceparallax
15/12/2008 21:11 | Yes, but didn't expect to receive it twice!!! I received a cheque last week and another in today's post with an identical number on it. I suspect Capita are in for a bit of a beating...bit of a mess-up, but that's Capita for you! | topvest
15/12/2008 12:46 | Yes, & lets raise our glasses to plenty more... | mr hangman
15/12/2008 11:22 | Good to receive the generous divi in today's post. | spaceparallax
07/12/2008 19:13 | PUGUGULY - Yup todate this is a company where expectations have been ahead of reality. Interantioal franchising has added virtually nothing to date. Earnings keep getting downgraded. Also I worry in the long-run people will advertise more by the internet and so flyers and the like will lose importance. I think 90% of their stuff is for marketing.... Could still be a great stock just seems like momentum is against it.... Net cash inflow from operating activities last six months £1.2m corresponding six months in previous year £1.6m Cash at end of last six month period £2.9m but at start was £3.5m thus cash in the bank sank by £600k.... hmmm.... Whatever the explanations doesn't show an improving cash position. Slap | slapdash
07/12/2008 14:09 | SLAP:> RE YOUR 1226: Cannot add much - you seem to have identified main problem. In times of ecomomic downturn advertising is one of the first areas to be hit - Look at ITV, WPP and Aegis to name but 3 coys that are down heavily. I cannot see Printing.com being exempt form this trend and probably in an even worse position with the downturn in Property Sales (both via Estate Agents for existing stock and developers for new stock PLUS PLUS PLUS the growth of the Internet. Having said this I can see the coy as a nice cash cow over the next few years BUT possilbe a capital eater. Still very much on the side [Declaration: I do not hold but held earlier and sold for a profit - I was looking to get back in but with every downturn in the ecomomy my target price goes down) | pugugly
05/12/2008 18:23 | I would say they should keep the cash in these conditions.... profits could easily collapse and then how clever would they look having spent money buying back shares... this downturn could go on for years... as the downturn starts to bite I think these guys will see profits get downgraded in the best case scenario.... their whole market is small businesses which are going to the wall big time..... also cashflow at the last interims wasn't great... Slap | slapdash
05/12/2008 16:16 | 30p to buy. Can`t resist it. | tyranosaurus
05/12/2008 12:42 | They should buy back any shares needed for employee share options etc but not a general buyback. I wouldn`t want them to pay a special dividend. | tyranosaurus
05/12/2008 10:23 | Ur they have loans outstanding to... i.e. finance lease for printing equipment... so not proper in my view to do a special dividend and in these tough economic conditions they probably shouldn't buy back stock.... in the last accounts they made a provision of circa £250k in case a franchisee went bust for example.... Slap | slapdash
05/12/2008 10:15 | Agreed dd776, or pay a special, but must do something with some of it | mr hangman
05/12/2008 02:12 | if they have the cash sitting in the back would they not be better buying in some shares after the recent int rate cut | dd776
04/12/2008 18:22 | The nterim accounts showed turnover - rest of the world up from 20k to 85k but not sure if this is just New Zealand. Not sure either if this is all profit of there are some costs involved. | tyranosaurus
04/12/2008 14:37 | tyranosourus - don't you think international is a very slow burn though... I think French franchise is still to be profitable... and royalty payments from all internaional stuff is only £8k I believe when I last read the accounts.... thus I'm not sure if the hype doesn't just outlive the reality for international potential.... or am I wrong????? Slap | slapdash |
