26/7/2005 12:27 | A non exec bought 100k. Interestingly David Pountney - owner of 8% of Numis - has picked up a disclosable stake this morning which will attract some interest. There has been some good volume in recent days which should clear the sellers out. The company is valued at £9m of which £3m is cash. They bought a charities business in April, and more should follow, all of which are enhancing to profits. Assets under management over £600m for a £6m enterprise value is cheap. Lots of upside on valuation grounds, deals, takeovers. Hard to see any downside on that valuation. | oregano
20/10/2003 15:35 | You're not alone. Bought in last week as it broke up through the 200dma. Hoping for a long and profitable run. | athertg
20/10/2003 15:06 | andy I would definitely hold for a rise above 1.00 New board bought heavily above this last year then again in jan 2003 and yet again last month surely a good omen Shares suffered from boardroom resignations and more recently failed takeover of other fund manager apparently a done deal but outbid at last moment Sector looks ripe for consolodation and despite recent lack of newsflow I feel sure this will change in near future.nice to hear from you Andy but surely we are not alone. | spurious
19/10/2003 15:26 | sputious, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a thread for PAM! I've held for a few years, and finally got around to depositing the certificates with my broker to put them online for me, in order to trade them, and then they started to rise! Thinking about the reason for the rise, I came to the same conclusion as you, so have decided to hold. Just as well because the share I was going to buy has held steady. Andy. | andy
19/10/2003 13:40 | Take a look at Premier Asset Management.Rising stock markets must surely benefit asset mamagers as the assets they manage increase, so do management fees. Substantial director support despite previous board changes. New board obviously see value in excess of 100p | spurious |
